Re: 2013 Free Agents
If you read the SI article, it said that he allowed a club to use his image to promote an event, and supposedly took whatever things the club would offer him. Therefore thats illegal, and the NCAA would ban him from D1-A schools for sure, not sure if the rule applies for 1AA schools or not.

Re: 2013 Free Agents
AP followed a different path from his father; never did I hear about AP beating up someone or stealing money from someone, doing drugs, etc. His father being in jail was a flag to me, but it was minuscule and wasn't worth NOT drafting him (as in we should have still drafted him). Mark Ingram is another example. His dad was in the NFL but is in jail, you never heard Mark Ingram being arrested or doing anything illegal while in college. The point is players break the family trend. My point is right now Tyrann hasn't shown me that because he has a DRUG PROBLEM (Thats your MAJOR Red Flag!---unless you all think that isn't a red flag then theres no point in arguing with you all)

Re: 2013 Free Agents
"Child along the way, I think of guys like Antonio Cromartie and Travis Henry. It shows to me that he isn't smart. Now maybe he wanted a kid. But how the article put it, it made it sound like he was told recently that he is actually having a kid, like Surprise! Having a kid isn't a red flag; having a kid at an early age can be considered a red flag by some"
Absolutely right CultBrennan59. Birth control is 100% and nobody has sex in college except for idiots and those who want a child. Anybody under 30 with an unplanned child should raise a red flag to any employer.

Who cares about the personal life of players?? You'd be surprised to hear some of the shit A.D did while playing at OU but people just care about what he does on the field.

![]() How many guys on here would really want everything they did in college or as a young man scrutinized? I know I may some bad decisions but turned out to be a good father and productive member of society.

Re: 2013 Free Agents
It all goes into the big pot of "Do we want to invest money and resources into this person." All of it. Some things get weighed more, some things less. Family background (really, how many times have we heard about RGIII's family background as indicator of the type of person he is), their behavior in college, how they handle personal adversity, how they treat others, etc., etc.
Bottom line is - who is this guy, do we trust him to be 100% committed, and, if not, does his potential talent outweigh the potential liability he could become. In the case of the Honey Badger, from all reports, I am pretty much a "let's pass on this one." Folks ... just b/c guys play safety doesn't mean they are any better than what we got.
