Fucking Calvin Johnson....lol

I'd cut CJ come this off-season. They aren't getting your money's worth out of this dude and his skills are only declining and not worth investing a 24mil cap hit next season. Let somebody else make that mistake.

See, I know this godforsaken cursed franchise better than anyone on this board.

Always finding new ways to lose.

Always.

At this point I'm going to watch for the dark comedy of it all. Wayne Fontes was the best modern coach we ever had, folks. Wayne...Fontes. Think about that for a second--he's our winningnest coach of the Super Bowl Era.

Re: Around the NFL: week 4

The only sadder loss than this I can remember in the last five years was when the Ravens beat us at home with nothing but field goals, including a 60 yarder IIRC. Fred Phelps was wrong, god doesn't hate gays, no, God hates the Lions.

The Stafford/Johnson Era ended tonight. Time for rebuilding year #59! Woot!

For once, our season isn't over by week 4 much like it has been the past few years. Like I said, that Lions team needs some serious changes. I never liked the Caldwell hiring to begin with.

Caldwell should get his walking papers this weekend and Austin made the HC. And Lombardi the grandson needs not just to be fired but exiled to Fiji.

At least you have glory days within many people's living memory to fall back on. Ford even makes Snyder look like the Rooneys.

ETA: And now int he postgame it turns out the whole play was illegal and the Lions should have gotten the ball back. Of course!

Re: Around the NFL: week 4

To make things worse for Lions fans, the refs blew that play in the endzone because the Seahawks player illegally batted the ball out of the endzone.

The officiating in the NFL this year is horrendous. Yesterday's Skins/eagles was a cluster full of bad calls.

Re: Around the NFL: week 4

The refs are garbage. Even I knew that rule, as many fans watching probably knew it as well. Just pure incompetence. Detroit isn't all that good but they got hosed.

The refs should be treated as players. They should have an off season training program, to go over rules and so forth. They're a total mess.

All true. Pathetic, but Goodell will look the other way like always.

Kam Chancellor is a 15 mill per year Defensive player. pay him

Saw this somewhere on the board but can't find it now:

Quote:
“Two years ago we set an NFL record for explosive plays,” Kelly said today. “Now no one plays those coverages.”
Chip Kelly: Defenses changed coverages to stop our big plays | ProFootballTalk

To me, that sounds very Spurrier -esque. "Hey, we'll just chuck it around."
