Re: Case Keenum to the Skins
Keenum is an experienced backup-quality NFL QB who cost the Skins next to nothing. I have no problem whatsoever with this deal.

If they signed Teddy Bridgewater say for $8M per season, then Crowder leaving for $8M per season wouldn't net them a compensatory pick because they balance out in the formula. It's one more way to get an advantage with compensatory picks: acquire players via trade without giving up much. Also, sign guys who were cut this year as opposed to signing guys who left due to expiring contracts. That also boosts your chances in the compensatory formula.

I do believe that Colt will be our opening day starter.

Re: Case Keenum to the Skins
I think I agree. The question is how long will he stay our starter? Jay will be coaching for his job, he'll have no choice to keep him on a short leash. If he starts getting careless with the ball he'll go to Case.
And then you just wonder if McCoy's body can even hold up long enough to make it to week 5, even if he's successful.

For that reason, i think the team is better of keeping Colt on the bench, where he can focus on helping Keenum and whatever other young QB we bring in learn the offense.

Re: Case Keenum to the Skins
I still think Rosen is in play. Also if it is between Colt and Case it's not even close. Case is the guy

Re: Case Keenum to the Skins
I do too. Either that or the 'skins draft a quarterback. Looks like they may need to draft a wide receiver as well.

Re: Case Keenum to the Skins
I didn't have a problem with this trade. We really didn't give up anything to note, and we got them to take half the salary.

Re: Case Keenum to the Skins
If the Skins do trade for Rosen, then I DO NOT want them to give up the #15 pick for him.

Re: Case Keenum to the Skins
After the Antonio Brown trade with the Steelers getting a 3rd and 5th, I doubt anyone gives up a 1st.

A #1,#3 and a two year starter former #1 pick at safety. Plus when all is said and done it will save about 3 million in cap space this year.
