Re: Skins Sign O-Lineman Mike Williams

Apparently no other team felt there was any OL talent available in teh 3rd either. After the Redskins selected Barnes no other OL was selected in the 3rd and only 5 were selected in the 4th so the redskins aren't the only team who felt there wasn't much OL talent in the middle rounds.

Good point.

Again, a weak OL class.

Re: Skins Sign O-Lineman Mike Williams

Well, it is no end of amusement for me to observe.....fans bouncing off the walls that the Skins did not take an O-lineman....ESPECIALLY when it is an area of NEEEEEED.
??? Did fan think management was not aware of this? Did fan think perhaps he was just a little more shrewd than management? Did fan think all the sports training he had recieved working as a data analyst, beer server, manager, etc. exceeded managements experience and training? What did fan think?
Does management always make the right move.......no.

Do they know we need a O-tackle? I think they are.....aware.
maybe, Maybe, they could not find anyone worth the pick?
........relax

Outstanding post!

I'll bet that none of us takes kindly to less-informed outsiders telling us how to do our jobs, yet that is precisely what many of us (me included) do every day on the Warpath.

Well, a lot of people's solution for our offensive line woes doesn't look like it will happen.

The Cards are much better situated at OT than we are...not even comparable really. If they "outbid" us for Levi Jones, assuming he's cut, i'd say the FO is resigned to gamble the season on our faltering o-line once again.

...btw it sounded like good news re Jones' injury status. Also very encouraging he didn't come out saying he would only play LT for LT type money...but the FO should still pony up and pay the guy. I keep thinking this is how we'll know if things are changing for the better in Redskins Land

I absolutely agree. I will feel so much better if we sign a capable RT.

Having been mistaken for a truck, Mike Williams was towed from the Redskins Park parking lot today.
