If you leave your feet (because you're jumping a would-be tackler) then you lose your leverage. Last time with Landry Jacobs was running and lowered his shoulders, this time he's off his feet and had to go backwards.

Same thing happens with a punch: Jump and throw it and it will lose force, but stay grounded and throw it and you increase the force.

Go on, try it!

But he's not off his feet, he was running in stride. Please re-watch the video specifically the 18-21 second mark. I watched and rewatched to see how he was moving, and he is running in stride, pretty much full force. just watch Fletcher position his body, then at the last second lunge out at Jacobs, it was a full blast body blow, and fun to watch over and over.

Just want to say this. I think JC had a better game then he got credit for and I think we will look much better this week. When JC threw that interception, I think that everybody was so pissed off that they were blinded by all the good thongs JC did. On top of that he went back turned the ball over, and it resulted in a TD. The truth is that JC has never done anything like that run over the line play. Anger left us unable to see that he threw the ball well. Unfortunatley, the two mistakes turned out to be worst case scenerios.

I totally agree. Cooley and ARE had good games. So he was obviously getting the ball to them. I saw some good throws. Moss head wasn't in the game. So it put us back to where we were before. But your right the two mistakes stick out in peoples minds more than the rest of his play.

I am sure he will learn from his mistakes.

Fletcher's tackle on Hakeem Nicks was even better. Hall got completely juked out of his shoes after blowing the coverage, and Nicks made a move to get away, and Fletch not only closed the play off but ended up injuring Nicks in the process. It was the second best defensive play of the game (Haynesworth went all superman in the third quarter on Bradshaw).
