Most people here have said over and over we need to rebuild and it takes time. Now after a bad day on the field so many want to start over. Make up your mind.

I don't really see Ron Rivera as an option for here, or Mangini (I actually hope he stays on TV, think he's really good there). But if we're going to with a fired/soon to be fired head coach, what about Romeo Crennel?

Crennel wouldnt be a bad choice imo.

Emmitt Thomas is also available, age doesn't matter just look at LeBeau.

He's certainly a good coach, always liked Crennel and his players seem to respect him. He knows his stuff. However I'd prefer we go out and get a young guy and not a retread.

Mangini is great on tv, love listening to him. Does he even want to coach anymore?

Whens the last time Crennel has had a top 5 defense?

re: Hey Ho, Haslett has to go! (or maybe not)

It's a good idea to wait until the off-season before firing Haslett. Look, right now the Skins are still developing under a new quarterback; contention and controversy in the middle of the season are just terrible distractions for a rookie QB and should be avoided. And what would be accomplished by firing Haslett? The Skins are not going to the playoffs regardless, and anyone who thinks so is delusional. So right now the Redskins have to go about business professionally and calmly. That means forging ahead and taking some lumps, a lot of lumps. But the manner in which an organization handles such difficult times is part of what determines the future organizational mentality and culture. The Redskins need to set a tone for Griffin, a tone that shows the team is committed but patience, thoughtful rather than reactionary, calculated but not hostile, productive rather than destructive. Let Haslett finish the season, allow him to leave with his dignity, and make the proper changes out from under the spotlight.

I'm not a big fan of firing any coach mid-season. Let Haslett complete the season and then evaluate him them. If the team decides to go in another direction, they have all off-season to install a new defense. Mid-season is not the time to install a new defense.

Definitely stay the course with Shanny. For starters our offensive personnel is now tailored to his scheme and as Denver learned it's very hard to switch back. On top of that not many coaches can find Running Backs like they're long snappers. Also they've not only done a great job developing RG3 but Cousins looks to be coming along as well.

Denver realized they made a mistake letting Shanny go, the best COA is to keep him and find a defensive guy that can bring the D back to where it was the past decade.

Whawhawhat?! Is this meant to be serious? There isn't a single Broncos fan I know, talking at least three dozen people here, who would ever want Mike back. Most of them wanted him gone well before the organization finally canned him.

What are you talking about?

My "sources" came from posting on the Broncos forum back in 2010 when I was trying to find out certain aspects about Shanahan's coaching such as his system, handling of players, drafting, etc. In response to my inquiries I got more then one person talking about how they missed Shanahan and how firing him was a mistake. Of course this was during the McDaniels era so I guess from that perspective you could take it with a grain of salt.

Still safe to say I love offenses that produce great rushers like they're nothing and make things much easier for the Quarterback.

I stand corrected. A fan forum woud be the place to inquire...well done.
