Even with how bad we were out played and out coached, at one point it is 17-10 with us missing 2 FGs, just wasn't our night, and Green Bay looked like a SB contender there.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Agreed, GB was on top of their game, we were flat but still in the game until late. All is not lost.

This is a fair point. Frankly, had we not wilted on defense after scoring the TD to pull within 7, GB would have been accused of letting us hang around and not putting up more points, particularly given how poorly we executed on offense. It was a bad game -- bad effort, very bad injuries to key people we needed against that defense (Ekler, Coleman, and Bates). They will bounce back against the Raiders. This was always going to be a very hard game.

defense was average, offense is still stuck in preseason mode... but we were still in it (even though it never felt like it). Looks like we're not going to be insanity % on 3rd/4th down this year.

so much for not playing starters in the preseason to avoid injuries.

Crap -- just got an alert that Rappaport is reporting that JD5's status for the Raiders is in doubt because of a sprained knee.

Sit him. Marcus should play, that should give Jayden more time to heal.

All I saw was precautionary MRI. He looked fine at the end.

Re: Commanders @ Packers Game Week/Thread

In looking at the snap counts, it is concerning that guys that we were hoping (and perhaps expecting) to see step up this year aren't doing so -- Newton, Magee, Owens, Sinnott are playing a fairly small fraction of the snaps (true for McCaffrey too, although I didn't have as high expectations). I really hope we can get some production out of these guys, even if they're really just spelling the starters. Sinnott had 3 snaps -- paltry when considering that Bates got hurt early.
