Re: Chainsaw Dan Snyder

If I wrote that article I would be flat out embarrassed by it seeing as how one of the central new arguments about Snyder's ongoing ineptitude "because he supposedly gave McNabb some ridiculous overblown contract" is refuted in a report on the same homepage.

More than half a season would certainly be nice.

They're going to need the length of their contract at least. Remember the first fire someone thread [Haslett] was after the first loss, that gives you an idea of what you're dealing with.

Yeah, people need to remember last year free agency was limited so we really couldnt get "Shanny's offense guys" or 3-4 defense guys. We cut alot of dead contract weight and some age...I fully expect after the season to go out and get more guys who fit the scheme. This team wasnt a playoff team coming into this year...lets see how everything plays out down the stretch...sh*t were just 2 games outside first place...

he already had half a season! we should be on top of the division by now! fire em all!

seriously though snyder will never escape the criticism until he wins and then once he wins then there will be criticism until we win a superbowl. he gets criticism some of which is deserved and some of which is just mis or uninformed. that said there is no if and or buts he is the person who put this team in the position it is in, which is losers. he for ten years has controlled the decisions that this team has made and the majority of the decisions were bad ones without regaurd for the future of the team.

now though it appears as if he finally gets it and is trying to make right by getting football guys which he has done in bruce allen and mike shanahan. we finally drafted by need and not the bpa or whatever crazy scheme vinny had. and he is trying to make fedex more fan friendly(which is a lost cause). all in all i would say snyder has been making good strides in the past few months, but only time will tell where this franchise will end up. i just don't know how many more season i can take of this.

Don't talk about fan desertion unless you've already dumped them.

For example, I realized that I have canned the Craps for the might Habs for good recently, and it ain't changing.

Seriously man don't make idle threats. Just go root for the Pats and their winning blue collar ways. At least you won't have to suffer through games like last night's like the rest of us diehards. Don't sit here and debate whether to leave, just do it. Nobody likes a guy who debates renouncing his fandom when the going gets tough.

I don't see the comparison? Marty wanted to stay as long as he had more control and if I'm not mistaken he wanted Cerrato gone. DS chose his boy Cerrato over Marty.

In this case Cerrato is gone, we have a totally different GM trying to do what Cerrato couldn't, and we have a HC who also holds the title of president so even DS decided it best to give Shanahan the extra power.

Re: Chainsaw Dan Snyder

Cerrato was already gone when Marty was here, he canned him the second he walked in the door. Snyder fired Marty because he had a man crush on Spurrier. Taking back control from Marty was just a power play on Snyder's part to make sure Marty wouldn't want to come back.

As long as Danny sticks to his word and leaves football operations up to Allen and Shanahan, those guys aren't going anywhere.

but all that is old news, its in the past. so far i have no reason or evidence, nor does the article, that DS had anything to do with the re-signing of mcnabb except inuendo that we typically under DS try and make headline news before big games since the nat'l media spot light is on us at that time.

he maximizes his profit line but hes been a good boy so far with no evidence to prove otherwise thus far.
Damn, and we call Al Davis and JJ the worst owners? They have rings.
