Around the NFL Post Draft News.

Fresh thread time.

More changes to the kickoff likely coming this season – ProFootballTalk

Am I the only one who thinks the NFL is hurting the game by getting rid of K/Os? They might as well just come out and say we are done with Special Teams in general. Are punts next? I get the safety concern but this stuff is getting ridiculous.

Re: Around the NFL Post Draft News.

Cravens and Jones were good uses of 2nd and 3rd round picks. Fucking pathetic. Those guys aren't "football players".

Can we add Perine and Anderson to the mix or is it too soon?

I agree, too soon. I think Perrine will be a strong contributor in his role. Spell Guice and be a short yardage bowling ball. Anderson needs to something this year tho. Couldn't even tell he was on the team last year.

I've always wanted to know what it felt like to be the spellcheck gustapo.

"You're".

Doesn't feel good at all. I don't have Facebook but a lot of sites, including ESPN, use them. And half the comments are petty ish like that.

Perine will be much better with Guice there now, he's a bruiser. Give it time

It ain't a good look when they don't even let you try to make the team through training camp.

No. How can we say those two are draft busts after one injury riddled season with them?

I believe this. Plus, if our offensive line is much healthier, expect better running out of our backs.

Anderson was hurt during the preseason, which is not a good thing for a rookie. I do agree as some folks have said that he may be playing out of position and should be an ILB. I'm willing to give Anderson a pass for last year.

Perine on the other hand, dude just keeps fumbling. But I think him or Kelly may be out of a job this offseason with Guice coming in.

I highly doubt Redskins will cut Perine, the team knew it will take some time for him to develop (I cannot remember exactly where I read it but pretty sure it came from Keim). Kelley is likely to be cut unless one of our RBs is injured during training camp or preseason.

Perine is not going to be out of a job. It will come down to either him or Kelly backing up Guice. Remember, Tiki Barber had fumble troubles early on in his career, corrected them, and turned out to be one of the better running backs in the league. The Redskins need three backs. While Guice can be an every down back, you still want Thompson to mainly be your third down weapon, and you'll need someone to spell Guice for a play or two. I think there is still hope for Perine, just have to be patient with him.
