Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)

I thought I would start an official pregame thread. And some news:

@JPFinlayNBCS
Wow - Washington cut Dustin Hopkins. Blewitt is the new kicker

Re: Packers Pregame Thread

Long overdue with Hopkins. Should have been axed after missing that FG in London against the Bengals. Feels like he's being scapegoated just a bit though.

If we see some real changes like Collins getting benched that will get my attention.

+1

Sad Hopkins couldn't figure it out but onto the next guy. Hope Chris doesn't blewitt.

Ok I'll show myself out.

You cut the kicker yet you keep trotting Collins out there? 🕵

I'm with you. Like I said last week or the one before, I have no issue with the "our way or the highway" coaching approach. But you gotta be ready to actually send people on the highway, otherwise you're just a glorified version of my middle school match teacher (you cunt I hope you read this).
Collins should be benched, at the very least. Maybe Fuller gets one more week because of his lucky pick last week, but not much longer. McCain and WJ3 should be on short leashes too. Then our DEs don't have anymore excuses and need to produce or be ready to see their playing time decrease even more.

Re: Packers Pregame Thread

While I’m glad Hopkins finally got the axe, I’m pretty sure this means he’ll go on with another team and go on a 2 year kicking spree never missing a FG over 50 yards and going 98% on XPs.

Onto the Broncos? Ok.

This should be a winnable game if we get our act together - Broncos aren't worldbeaters at the moment.

Re: Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)

There are a lot of other players that need to be held accountable, but let's stop acting like Hopkins didn't bring this on himself. Personally, I think he should have been cut when he missed those two PATs.

To be fair it was a horrible snap.

If KC held our offense to 13, then Denver may hold them to 6 or 9. Their offense can surely score more than that against this defense...so that's another loss.

Re: Packers Pregame Thread (Hopkins cut)

Hopkins has a big leg, but if you max distance is less than 50 and accuracy is like 50% over 40…then it’s time to move on.

This is a fine move, but Collins cut needs to happen immediately after the season and designated post June 1. If this doesn’t happen, I will move to fire Ron and the front office. I will become anti-Ron and anti-Meyhew because it will show pure incompetence in the front office again and a culture of accountability isn’t honest

Ok... so we're onto Tampa Bay now?

Excited to see Lambeau and Rodgers live. Hopefully it’s not too brutal of a beat down
