Alex Smith hurt because of Lavar's hit

You hate to think of our biggest impact player being a villian, but is it me, or does it seem like just about everytime Lavar makes a tackle he hurts somebody?

He is developing a scary reputation. If you guys remember, he basically ended Troy Aikman's career.

Arrington just has a knack for ending careers. He can't help it.

Re: Alex Smith hurt because of Lavar's hit

LaVar is always a quarterbacks biggest fear when they're in the open field. I remember an Eagles game a few years back where McNabb was in the open field where he usually shimmies and shakes for extra yardage. On this particular play, LaVar was directly in front of him and closing in, and McNabb turned 90 degrees and ran directly to the sideline and out of bounds. And he also hit Brett Favre on a sack a few years back, and put him out of the game with a knee sprain. If the Packers hadn't had a bye week after that week, Favre's consecutive game streak would have been broken.

I guess no one gave Alex Smith the memo...:FIREdevil

I thought the same thing at first but the replay showed that it was just a high tackle and he never grabed the face mask.

Lavar has such a quick burst! It seems like he is moving toward the ball carrier and then at the last minute, he just explodes into the guy. No wonder guys avoid him. He is intimidating as heck. (to use a nice word)

He got the back of his helmat....which is the same as a face mask. Somebody got called for useing the ear hole (Gints game I think?) in another game this week.

Lavar will most likely get fined for that hit. Mark my words. I saw the replay and he did grab the back of his helmet and almost yanked it off.

Yeah, check out the fourth photo on WashingtonPost.com's photo gallery of the game. Nasty hit. Lavar is pulling his helmet off in one direction while someone else is laying into him with a shoulder. Beautiful. I especially loves GW's expression from the sideline.

I don't think Lavar's helmet grab was intentional. He just goes all out. Reminds me of another #56...

Re: Alex Smith hurt because of Lavar's hit

why do you guys think that all of a sudden lavars playing time increased that much?was it that much of a better practice week or that his punishment was over?i think everyone that follows football would agree, whether you like him or not,he is a playmaker

Re: Alex Smith hurt because of Lavar's hit

i think it was increased because griffin went out and we were thin at DT, as well as the 49ers total lack of talent agve a very wide margin for error... but he didn't need it. A thorough showing of why lavar is making money.

Re: Alex Smith hurt because of Lavar's hit

He's more that just a playmaker..he makes you change your offensive gameplan...You better account for him ...know where he is at all times...QB's have to always know where he is and they hurry and get rid of the ball.... mobile Qb's really have to worry..Now imagine the ball coming to u in the open field with Lavar 3 yards away are u gonna be stupid enough to catch that balll!!!!! LMAO...also think about this... the redskins now have the 2 biggest hitters in the NFL on the same defense.... Gonna be alot of dropped balls..
