Around the league offseason

Thought this didn't fit into any other existing thread; Black Monday threads only coaching.

This could be bad for the Saints. If he's charged, and likely in serious trouble, they're likely to have no choice but release him. Not good news for them or the league. Do they get cap relief if he's cut under these circumstances?

Alvin Kamara Charged With Felony Battery After Nightclub Altercation
The star running back for the New Orleans Saints was accused of being involved in a fight the day before the Pro Bowl but was not taken into custody until after playing in the exhibition game.

NFL.com links da worst.

Bad look for AK, felony battery is serious. Las Vegas hasn’t been good for the nfl

Re: Around the league offseason

Speaking of the Pro Bowl, is it officially two hand touch now? Just seeing some highlights from yesterday I was like wow, that's hot garbage. The only highlight worth seeing was Mac Jones hitting the griddy.

Because of the level of violence that is pretty much in every NFL game, there really isn't much that can be done with a "Pro Bowl" where people are playing 2 hand touch. The NHL All Star game is similar where there is no real hitting and guys just tee up shots on goalies.

The only real All Star game that works is baseball because the players can play at close to the level of intensity of a regular season pennant race game.

Re: Around the league offseason

I watched 1st quarter and got bored. The skill challenges are far more worth watching than that mess of a game. I say make it full flag football with a few crazy rules thrown in, like OL has to have at least one play each at QB, one play where DL have to play S etc. Otherwise the 'full contact' game is farcical. Although, I did laugh when the commentator said that one player had slammed another to the turf (2 hand touch tackle). Even they must realise it's ridiculous and struggle to take their own commentary job seriously.

^^ copy of police report ... basically random guy wanted to get on elevator with AK and his entourage, AK put his hand on random guys chest like "nah" and then random guy was pushed and hit.

Video of it all but not leaked yet .. dude is going to get paid

Police report really went into some medical detail re his orbital eye.

I had my orbital smashed once, baseball bat or some kind of hard blunt object, needed surgeries, screws, piece of plastic under eye ball to hold up eye ball, had to get glasses ... luckily my meds were covered under californias victim of violent crime compensation fund as I didnt have health ins at the time.
