Stop Buying Redskins stuff!!!

I realize that this is a pointless effort but I have to let this out...Stop buying Redskins stuff, don't buy jerseys, stop going to games and encourage other fans to do the same.

We whine and bitch about Snyder and then go to Fedex field and pay outrageous prices for parking, tickets, cold beer and piece of s*** food. Why has Snyder been allowed to run amok with this franchise? Because we as fans continually empower him. Unless we are able to hit him where it hurts, his pocket, he won't change and this once proud franchise will continue to languish.

Again, I understand that this will never happen and I will get replies saying as much, I just had to vent.

Re: Stop Buying Redskins stuff!!!

I think the game boycott was seen today. Very empty stadium compared to the usual fans. Hardly anyone in those yellow level seats (I'm not sure what seats those are. So I'm calling them yellow). Though this could've all been due to the weather.

Anyone go to the game today have an official total of how many fans were there?

Re: Stop Buying Redskins stuff!!!

I think that after the game when a fellow redskins bumped me, and I mean me personally, with his car as I was walking back to our car in the FedEx parking lot I decided that I've had enough of that place for a long LONG time.

(Seriously, F that guy, I was on the side walk in a crosswalk and I was literally one step away from being past his car so it's not like I stepped in front of him. I was also stone sober and I was thinking "he's gonna stop, he's gonna stop, he's gonna..." then BUMP. F him and F FedEx Field.)

The crowd looked pretty normal for a non-division/non-NFC game to me, but the atmosphere was pretty dismal.

I agree with you in principal that we need to give a message to snyder, but I believe he will just go into panic mode and go onto an even bigger spending spree if his sales go down.

Yellow seats are club level where there's more food & bev options and leather sofas. Dudes wear blazers, chicks wear pumps.

And I'd say today was a fan boycott. If there was team to cheer for, fans would've sat in sub zero temps. Back in the day I did plenty of times.

The yellow seats is the club level. Pretty pathetic showing for todays game even though the weather was supposed to be shitty(it turned out to be nice). I was there and id say there were about 55000-60000 people there. The boo's were loud at the end of the first half, but the cheers for Todd Collins were even louder at the beginning of the third quarter.

I seen the saddest thing ever today when the announcer of the game was trying to get the fans together to sing HAIL TO THE REDSKINS, even though we didn't score. It was pretty pathetic.

Seeing that brokers and corps are trying to unload tix starting at $10-20 on Stub Hub, it should be interesting to see Snyder unload them in 2010. Guess this means I should expect spam and junk mail announcing, "CONGRATULATIONS, YOUR NAME CAME OFF THE WAITING LIST.." Or at the very least, buy two get one free.

Re: Stop Buying Redskins stuff!!!

That is one way to start getting our point across, stop buying things and stop going to games. Hit em' where it hurts.

Re: Stop Buying Redskins stuff!!!

Again, the problem is it is already a sell out. Snyder has been paid for every seat this year.

Disgusting as it is, the only way that he may realize there is a problem is fans selling their tickets to the opposing team fans. I am against this, as we saw how disgusting it was in last year's Steelers game. The answer is, don't go, or if you do go, don't buy any concessions.

Let the real fans on the waiting list buy tickets already enough of selling to these scalpers and brokers.

Re: Stop Buying Redskins stuff!!!

This is all talk, you season ticket holders know good and well you arent going to give up your seats because of the way things are going. you will all be there next game and DS WINS. Skins are like a carwreck, you know its going to be bad but you just cant take your eyes off of it.
