Stock UP; Stock DOWN

So far,

Stock UP:

1. Phil Taylor. Like his old self. Hustling and dominating.
2. Chris Thompson. Wow! He looks fantastic. It was worth waiting for him.
3. Fabian Moreau. Huge plays on ST. Talent at CB is obvious.
4. Zach Brown. He's the real deal. Truly a tackling machine.
5. Deshazor Everett. Big time hustle and solid tackling.

Stock DOWN:

1. Stacy McGee. Lack of hustle is evident.
2. Terrell McClain. Invisible so far.
3. Will Blackmon. Having a horrible preseason.
4. Preston Smith. Can't set the edge. Can't rush the passer. Can't play.
5. Ryan Grant. Jay, please get over your man crush. We need to keep Robert Davis or Brian Quick.

Chris Thompson is a monster. One of the best all around backs in football and has been for a couple years, he can do it all, run, catch, block.

Defense was decent again, I'd like to see a better pass rush but it's only PS.

Kirk got into rhythm and finally got hot. Yes I know it was against backups but still.

I wanna see more out of Pryor, all this hype in practice but haven't seen anything so far in 2 practice games.

Secondary is better no doubt.

OL looks weak in run blocking again, not a good sign.

Hundley is a good QB and possibly someone we can look at if we don't keep Kirk IMO.

Aaron Rodgers is going to have yet another monster yr, that dude is ridiculous.

I could care less about wins in PS. Effort and execution is what u need to look at.

I was glad to see the first team out until they scored - that makes Gruden's stock up with me.

Agreed on Taylor. IF he stays healthy could be huge

Agreed. That was a risk (injuries), great to see him willing to take it.

Jay looked cold and determined yesterday, I really hope he wakes his players up and they show a solid performance next week. Last opportunity for the 1st stringers before the opener.

Side note: Roullier is quietly having a solid preseason. Good to have depth at center.

I think Roullier can play. He has room to get much stronger, too. Nice late find in the draft.

We all know you only like him because of his French surname.

Haha I gotta admit I love hearing announcers pronounce French last names...

Sounds really funny.

"PiIIihair Gueurrsson" is my favorite, I'm gonna miss hearing his name every week.

Stock down on punts in the preseason. Unless a team declares a kicking competion, punts ought to be illegal between the 30s.

Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN

I would say stock down on pre.season. I watched the game on You Tube today. I'd say overall this team right now looks bored. They're either bored or just waiting for the regular season. The o-line looks like they don't want to get hurt. Moses got pushed back by a backup lb that he outweighs by 100 pounds. Just lackadaisical football. #31 looked like he wanted to be out there. Let's just get the regular season started cause these guys don't care about pre season..

Pryor said after the game that " we aren't even game planning" meaning they dont really give a crap about these games. I'm not too concerned

Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN

You guys have to remember that when the Lions went 0-16 they went 4-0 in pre season. It means nothing.
A lot of guys out there are just trying to not get hurt, no game planning. Guys going through the motions.

Niles Paul, vastly underrated and should be re-signed next year.

Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN

Starting offense's stock is down but my only concerns with preseason are getting out without any major injuries. I'd rather they suck now and have the coaches on their ass before the season starts, I've seen enough years where we looked good in preseason only to stink it up when the regular season starts. With our players and coaches I'm confident Gruden will whip them into shape early on in the season.

Re: Stock UP; Stock DOWN

The whole damn team is down!! we will be lucky to win 6 games with this lackluster Starting O unit...Kirk Aint nowhere ...nowwhere near Aaron Rogers talent and yet he thinks he should get all the cash...He looked at best average against Packers 2cnd string D! Not that I am saying Colt is the answer but you want big boys pay..play like it. Aaron Rogers could get the Redskins deep into playoffs ..Cousins???? I don't think he wins 6 games..

Dude. Chill. You're comparing Cousins to one of the better QBs ever. Who has also played nearly a decade longer and has Jones his craft with a stable team, good coaches, strong supporting cast, etc. Cousins has been very good the last two seasons. And he will be this year too.
