Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
They should have been testing everyone every 2 days. It was stupid to set up a different testing regime for Vax vs unvax. Or just let them fricking play and do this shit on individuals own time. These guys aren't at risk for s and it's stupid to keep anyone who is asymptomatic (regardless of vax status) out of games.

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
What optics are worse, letting asymptomatic guys play or seeing games where teams barely have enough guys to suit up and the quality of the games suffering greatly? We're going to have scab game quality before we know it.

Yup if you test positive and you are vaccinated and asymptomatic than have at it. The only other option is a vaccine mandate. It is also the more fair option. Most players are vaccinated and should not be subject to any of this. They happen to catch it and become symptomatic than they play when they are physically able like any other ailment. This here aint working though. Cannot let the unvaccinated dictate the numbers. The end game of all the covid rules is for players not to become gravely ill or die , it isn’t a punishment for catching it. So take the unvaccinated out of the equation and there is nothing to worry about. We can have 95 percent of players playing or 50 percent with this garbage. |

Coronavirus (sports edition) thread

The numbers show it helps to keep people asymptomatic. And when you are asymptomatic you are not coughing, sneezing, etc. In other words it helps prevent the spread. It also does lower your chance of getting it and giving it. Here is a good article with a shitload of statistics. If you are going to say otherwise and that the numbers do not lie I would like to see your sources. https://www.dshs.texas.gov/immunize/...s-11082021.pdf Right off the cdc website…. “COVID 19-vaccines are effective and can reduce the risk of getting and spreading the virus that causes COVID-19. Learn more about the different COVID-19 vaccines.” Last edited by punch it in; 12-17-2021 at 04:30 PM. |

@AlbertBreer
Sources: Owners and execs were told by the NFL this morning that the league is discussing significant changes to COVID-19 protocols with the union. |

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
Gotta start testing EVERYONE everyday like the NFLPA wanted to do in the first place.

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
Matty, you may be onto something:
@MarkMaske The NFL is considering a protocol tweak that would allow vaccinated, asymptomatic players who test positive for the coronavirus to return to team activities sooner, sources say.

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
While you are at it, tell him to enact a vaccine mandate and get rid of Snyder? Thanks.

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
Unless it is after those players show a negative test, then that is dumber than not testing everyone daily, and basically why they are in the current predicament. Players who are positive but don't know it, going about their normal business infecting everyone else. The only difference here is the players are positive and know it - going about their normal business...
