Re: Fans at Fed Ex
As usual a few of you twist it all around ... nobody said a damn thing about not giving a crap about others .. what I said was the facts and listed them .. I responded to the statement that 200,000 have died from covid ... that’s not actually true( there were other health issues involved)so how is telling the truth not caring about others ? I wear a damn mask .. for what good it does .. I watched Coaches wear a mask the whole game then take it off and go hug players at end of game ??? A mask does nothing if you don’t wash your hands like after touching anything ... how about the people who wear mask in there car by themselves ...this chat site should be renamed the punch and mooby show 😀 30,000 post between them and counting .....

Fans at Fed Ex
Thanks for noticing
I believe this is 30,001 lol. The point Mooby was trying to make was that regardless of why COVID killed them - due to an underlying issue or not - shouldn’t matter? The “weak” people are expendable is how your post sounded. Did anyone say you don’t give a shit about others. Not even close. I personally believe you are not considering the consequences of us just living our lives and getting used to the virus or however you put it exactly. Thats how it spreads. Thats how people with underlying conditions that would otherwise still be with us - die. |

Go no fans or full fans. These halfway things are just to save face. I've watched pretty much every Braves game this year and you get used to no fans. Don't even really notice anymore.

Hockey looked cool with whatever they had going on in the background, though there is nothing better than playoff hockey crowds. Did miss that. I like the fake noise of baseball and of football. Well its better than no noise. One thing I cannot get used to is the fake giant heads. |

It's safe at 25K but at 25,001 people will die? That math doesn't check out. Don't allow crowds at all or fill it up and let people who want to go take their chances. Genuinely fine with either option. No fans is the easier route.

Re: Fans at Fed Ex
I actually maybe crazy .. but not having the fans in the stand last Sunday helped Washington!! Can you imagine the crowd down 17 ?? Although it could have been a eagles advantage based on last years home games ...

I firmly believe it helped them too. No doubt there would have been some B & G mixed in to a sea of green if it was filled with fans. Our home crowd is just the other teams away crowd. At least now they can imagine the seats full of their own fans. |

Re: Fans at Fed Ex
It's so funny cause the LA mayor- Garcetti ( did his dad prosecute OJ?) was actually in the streets, side by side w/ thousands of the protesters - many were not even wearing masks- but he won't let people be spread out at a game??? WTF. What a straight up phony son of a bitch. Where were the possible spreading of Covid stories about that?? He is right there not wearing a mask himself with thousands of idiots all around him. Go look it up, it's on You Tube. Same thing with that weak ass mayor in Minneapolis.
The media and these liberal mayors just get under my fucking skin- and I have worked in media ( public relations, marketing) for 23 years. I see the bullshit, but keep my mouth shut to stay in business. Doom and gloom sells, the truth does not. |

Re: Fans at Fed Ex
I am just sharing my story, I understand it is one person's and not necessarily indicative of the whole.
Around Sep 1st, I had chills and nightsweats and that Tuesday I slept 14 hours straight. Typically I sleep about 5 to 6 at most. I am 53, from March to July I lost 50 lbs, but still am in the overweight category for BMI. I live a fairly typical low middle income caucasian male lifestyle. By the time I took the test I was definitely feeling better. I got the results back in 3 days that it was positive. The county called each day from there until they told me I was good to go. That was on the 10th. I have had no symptoms since then, but on my own I went and did a re-test on the 16th. Guess what, it came back positive. Is anyone else NOT shocked. So should I quarantine for the rest of my life, because clearly I could be a carrier for the foreseeable future. Oh let me add, my son who lives with me was then also required to get a test even though he had no symptoms, it also came back positive, And for him - a 23yo auto mechanic, he was told to stay away from his job until he has a negative test. He took a second one the same time I did, and though he has not told me his results yet, I imagine that it will be positive also. Again, one person's story - but it is an actual person's story and not a media narrative from either side. |

Glad to hear you are ok CR.
I think the differing opinions here shows how complex of an issue this all is, there are no easy answers. |

Re: Fans at Fed Ex
But there are easy answers MTK, those answers are wear a mask and avoid large crowds for an extended period of time. Had we done this back in April this mess would be in the rearview mirror but unfortunately people are selfish and cant/wont do something for the greater good.
