Like in 1945...

... would some big and strong american come and save a poor french?
Sorry, kidding. (FrenchSkin couldn't be held responsible if anyone saw cynicism in his post)
Seriously, I'm about to start my first ever fantasy league ... and it's a Dynasty! The draft'll take place this saturday afternoon and honestly I barely had no time at all to prepare for it.
So, I wonder if anyone could advise me on who should I pick... I can read the fantasy rankings but since it's a dynasty maybe there are some moves to make better than some others.
For example I'd like to know which redskins you'd pick...
Thx!

Tim Hightower. He can probably be had for a low round pick, but keep your eyes open, if you see a run on running backs being made it's probably time to get him.

ok, I was thinking of getting him, good to know I'm not the only one to think it's a good idea.
Laron Landry could be a good pick also, couldn't it?

Re: Like in 1945...

Greetings Frenchskin, normally a Defense is selected and scored as a unit Ex. Redskins defense would score points for your Fantasy team as a unit and not as individual players. Offense on the other hand are generally chosen (and scored) individually by player for your fantasy team.
NOTE: Don't be to high on drafting only Redskins. The kiss of death is to use the "Homer" approach in drafting. Take the player that has the most potential no matter who he plays for, not because he is a Skin.

Re: Like in 1945...

I would suggest that you spend some quality time on the web reading some info as to draft strategy, team makeup, etc. There will be a ton of it. Pay particular attention to your leagues scoring system as it will impact your player selection.
Such as Michael Vick adds an attractive dimension because of his ability to run the ball. If rushing yds did not count (but I think they all do for the QB) for the QB, Vick is not so valuable. Anyway, check out your scoring system.....Good Luck!

Since its a keeper league try and target younger players when possible. Example
If you could get Tony Gonzalez or vernon Davis at TE take the younger guy with more upside.

Don't go crazy with it but when two players are close choose youth.
