Re: 3:10 to Jordy-ville!

we can get the hidden talent in the later rounds 6th or 7th and not on the 2nd round. what we need in this round is the visible talent.

Anyway I predict the trade will look like so:

Jets get:
Redskins 2-20
Redskins 3-21

Redskins get:
Jets 2-5 and draft Jordy Nelson

I think by the end of Saturday, SkinsFanSince91 is going to be a very happy man.
While you're at it, am I going to have a windfall of money come my way in the next six months?

Good news for people with man crushes on Jordy Nelson, he met with the Redskins.

I dont know who is going, but I wll be at FedEx for the draft party. I dont know what Ima have a J Campbell Jersey and a Gold Wizards Hat (like when I worked at the Verizon Center). So, if you are there, holla at me.

On Draft Day, first, I hope that we get all of our needs met. If we dont get a WR in the 1st, then we have to go with J. Nelson. Yes, if we were to grab him, then I owuld be happy, but if he is the only good player that we get, then all that happiness will be tappered.

Come On Skins! Make us feel like we have a REAL franchise, and draft some good players without trading away top picks deteriorating talent.

And apparently Redskins One - with Jason Campbell aboard - went from Kelly's workout in Oklahoma up to Kansas where they worked out Nelson.

Re: 3:10 to Jordy-ville!

Anyone want to take odds on Jordy being a Redskin come Saturday?Because I think it's obvious they're going to find a way to get him, and with his stock going up as much as it has theres a good chance that the team will have to trade up. Maybe it'll be for a 2nd and 3rd next year, but hopefully it'll be the 2-20/3-21 for 2-5 trade that I predicted.

That trade makes sense for the Redskins. I wonder if the Jets are going to want to get a QB at the top of the 2nd though. Maybe trading up with the Rams would make sense as well.

Yeah, I agree with the Rams. Drafttek has them going WR in the 2nd round, but chances are they'll be shooting for an O-Lineman, especially since they're projected to go with Long or Dorsey with 1-2 (Round 1 Pick 2). However outside of bluffing in hopes that the Falcons trade up, I don't get how they could go with Dorsey. I mean maybe Dorsey's the BPA but by how much? Maybe one or two points over Long, and considering the glaring need at DE I think that Long has to be the pick.

Yea, so I definitely checked the ESPN insider draft rankings, and Jordy Nelson has went from a 84 to an 86. He also went from being the 8th ranked WR, to the 6th ranked WR.

Im am a fan of Nelson, but if we get a WR in the first, via trade or draft, we need not target him in the 2nd. However, if we don't get a WR from our 1st pick, then we need to target him/Hardy (if he falls) in the 2nd. I'd naturally prefer Nelson, but Hardy is difficult to ignore. Nelson, however, comes without red flags. Hardy has character concerns, and Gioddell's stance on discipline is changing the way teams draft. Teams dont wanna draft a player that will do something foolish and then be suspended from the league for 8 games or a full season.

Nelson seems to be the more prudent decision.

Re: 3:10 to Jordy-ville!

dudes..i just watched jordy nelson highlight videos on youtube and he is amazing. Hes like the wide reciever version of cooley. and he stiff arms like TO. He also seems to be working harder than anyone on the field. I think if he wasnt a white wide reciever then he would get alot more attention.

I feel the same way. If he had dreads and was from the "U" he'd be a 1st round pick.

After reading up on Nelson I am not sold on him at all and not at # 2 but at one of the 3's maybe!

Thumbs up Re: 3:10 to Jordy-ville!

I'm on board. His RAC ability is what the WCO needs to work. He's faster than Kelly and tougher than Sweed. I agree that we will need to trade up for him, I think he'll go in the top half of the 2nd round.

Re: 3:10 to Jordy-ville!

So like I was saying all along, Jordy Nelson didn't last long at all, and ended up being the 3rd WR taken.

Im happy that he is in GB. HE got picked by a team that isalready loaded at WR, so he should get a chance to compete for time, which suits him as he has a great work ethic.

Im not mad we didn't get him, because we got WAYYYYYYYY more than I anticipated. we made out "ok" with our picks. Thomas & Kelly over J. Nelson anyday.
