Re: Lions postgame

On a positive it looks like they hit in Dotson. He looks like a future star. I remember him abusing Maryland last year and wondering if he was that good or was MD that bad. He is that good. He plays bigger than his size. Great leaping ability, great hands, great balls skills. The sky looks like the limit for him.

Lions postgame

Flowers and Martinez are still out there…. Not to overreact but sheesh.

A good friend who’s a long suffering Lions fan reached out to console me. That really says it all.

We should have fired JDR and brought in Vic Fangio

Got to keep that D off the field, if they haven't fixed it by now they won't.
We have no running game whatsoever, o-line needs to step up.

Looks like robinson may see action in week 5. Hopefully that bolsters the run. Unfortunately....that doesntbhelp our abysmal defense. Past the front line we have basically nothing. The lions put up 36.

Let me repeat that for the people in the back. The lions....led by Jared Goff....put up 36 pts.
Just let that settle for a minute.

Actually, a better run game will help our D stay off the field. Of course, we still won time of possession today and got thumped.

TOP only matters if we can stop them. If they score every time we give them the ball, it doesn't matter how long our offense is on the field. Esp if we put up a giant goose egg in a half.

Re: Lions postgame

Fair point. And they had 191 yards rushing. That’s appalling.

Re: Lions postgame

Watched the second half in condensed mode.

I know public transportation isn't always state of the art in the US, but to have your offense show up late and be unable to suit up before half time was a bummer...
Also hurt us that the defense had to leave just before the 4th quarter... but I understand you don't want to get stuck in traffic and all.

Oh, and did somebody roast Ron for the stupidest "go for 2" call in the history of the game ?

Looks like the players may slowly be turning on JDR

JDR sucking ass is totally believable. And that's on Rivera keeping him around. I don't always agree with Turner, but at least there is a chance of growth.

Rivera and JDR are old dinosaurs.

The thing is they're dinosaurs who are incapable or too stubborn to change.
