Does that mean it will take less time to heal? That's good for him but he's still out for the year so it doesn't make a difference. Or maybe it just means this was a one time thing that happened on a freak occurence? Either way I hope he doesn't suffer any recurring problems from this.

Yes, it will take less time. He has mentioned this when speaking to the press.
