Keenum - Week 1 Starter

Thoughts? Think Haskins starts at some point this year?

Went with the safe option and I'm ok with it.

Re: Keenum - Week 1 Starter

So far Keenum has been the better QB and provides the team a chance to win while Haskins matures. This is a very good team, putting Haskins there right now is too risky, maybe by mid season. I bet Keenum will have short leash on him.

Haha. True.

Do you think Gruden's contract situation will impact how much Haskins plays? It seems like if JG and DH can show a glimmer of hope for the future than ownership might give JG an extension. If not than DH will be starting over again with a new coach and a new system. At some point this year the team has to see if JG and DH are a good match.

It is what it is, Jay needs the vet QB to run his offense. If things go south Haskins will b in there

There wasn't a competition. I can't wait for Gruden to get his ass out of here.

Haskins isn't ready for Philly.

Schwartz would literally kill him blitzing from everywhere with two weeks to prepare.

That's a difficult, pressure based defense to play against for veterans.

It's the right move.

This team won't be ready for anybody with Jay Gruden as our HC. We might pull off a few lucky wins. But sooner or later this team will collapse just like they do every year.

And he can take Allen with him, they are both proven losers. You are what your record says you are.

Not surprised. Just wasting time with Keenum. He didn't do anything to actually win the job. They're starting him cause he's played more games.

Will Haskins play in the last preseason game?

He should definitely play in the last preseason game, why not?

Re: Keenum - Week 1 Starter

Yeah, this is no surprise. Case's experience will potentially net a few more wins this year, especially early on. However, I don't expect him to start more games than Haskins over the course of the entire year.
