I hope you're right. It would be a stark and welcome shift of the direction of this franchise - with new ownership in place, and the actual QB of the foreseeable future in place.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread

When we beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship game, I'll be wearing a T-shirt with Sam's picture that says, "Brock who?" Or at least, that was a dream I had recently.

I hear ya, but I'd rather be hearing good news than bad. Nothing matters until September, we all know that. But for me, it all just feels different this offseason - with the sale, the QB, the defense, et al.

There's only two sides of the fence at this point of the offseason... Pessimistic and Optimistic. You can be one of those, or you can be on the fence.

I'm on the fence.

The team has been sold. I just can't get the amount of absolute pessimism overall still here. Being miserable is a football life-style I guess.

I seriously have no idea what to expect from Howell but I'll go with something like 3200 yards passing, 18 TDs, 12 INTs, another 400 yards rushing and 4 TDs

Re: The Sam Howell Thread

I feel confident he can lead this team. I was a little shaky before, but this preseason heís lead like 4 scoring drives and looks the part

Re: The Sam Howell Thread

Ill just make it simple and say better than anything Taylor Heinekie or Carson Wentz could do and we certainly are not going to lose games because of our quarterback. Hopefully he doesnít get hurt because I thought Brissett looked like a nervous child last night. We didnít address the Oline seriously in the draft and that will haunt us this year. Should have taken a G instead of Martin.

Jake from State Fromm looked better than Brissett last night.
