Chris Thompson Thread

Dude is a baller, leads the team in Rushing, Rec, yards, and tds.

He's on pace to catch over 60 passes and have over 1500 yards total..

I'd say that contract extension was well worth it.

Re: Chris Thompson Thread

At this pace they should rip up that extension and give him even more $$

prob will happen, same for Z Brown.

We need more from our WRs though.

Re: Chris Thompson Thread

Thompson is thankfully filling a void that the WRs have created. Not nearly enough consistency from Pryor and Doctson.

Thompson has to be our offensive MVP not named Cousins.

Re: Chris Thompson Thread

CT is sick on screens, couple that with a very athletic OL and it’s such a deadly play.

Re: Chris Thompson Thread

I love what CT brings and is bringing, pass pro, getting open, signing the extension with us and I feel like such a POS for saying this but .... does he tire quickly or is he more burst and not so much long term speed? Yesterday on one play, I thought he was going to take it to the house but got caught from behind pretty easily. A game or two ago, same thing and the announcer commented on it as well.

He's SO freaking sneaky with the way he cuts too. It's like he just stops for a hot second and then, BOOM, he's gone.

Re: Chris Thompson Thread

Yeah, CT is probably the best screen guy we've had since Santana.

OTM, I love CT and what he brings to the game but he's definitely not a long run burner. I'm ok with that though because he makes plays. He's never gonna be the fastest guy on the field, but for a small guy he makes shit happen, and we'd be effed if we didn't have him because right now he's taking a lot of heat off Pryor and Doctson.

The Raiders play Amerson does run a 4.4 and had an angle, yesterday looked like an angle too, he did run away from the Rams on that long TD, but I think he has a lot of initial burst, get to his speed quickly and then slows a bit, he isn't like DeSean fast where once he gets past you that is it, but he is plenty fast

I think he has lost some speed from his FSU days because of those injuries but he still has the initial quickness

Re: Chris Thompson Thread

He was in the 4.4 - 4.5 range coming out of college. He's definitely bulked up in the pros so he's probably lost a little bit of speed. Yeah I agree in both instances the defender had a good angle on him.

Re: Chris Thompson Thread

Thanks to Mike Shanahan for drafting Thompson..... quite a few of Shanahan's draft picks such as Jordan Reed, Chris Thompson, Trent Williams, Ryan Kerrigan, and Kirk Cousins have all made huge impacts right after he was relieved of his coaching duties.....

This was him in college, he does look like he has bulked up quite a bit, and he did break his back in college as well. Either way he has been great for us

Shanahan knew what he was doing the whole time.
