Mark my words, this free agency season will go down as the one that turned the fortunes of the franchise. Im not saying Super Bowl, but if we address our needs wisely with the extra cap space, we will have the TALENT to turn the corner in the NFC East. Think about it, we were 6-2, without Dock, Haynewsorth, and Hall for half a season. Those three are not enough but if we can steal another piece or two...Wow!
Offense still needs to get better...if it doesn't we will stil be a marginal team at best.

I bet the Cowboys go after him to replace Canty.

It's hard to trade a 30+ DE who is on the downside of his career and scheduled to earn 8.5

Re: Jason Taylor Released

I'm a bit surprised, but for some reason the past few days I kind of suspected this move to happen. Let's just make good use of all that cap space and I'll be happy.

Re: Jason Taylor Released

We need to resign DEvans, and go after Angelo Crowell that takes care of OLB and we draft a OT, trade down, and in the Second or 3rd round we get a DE

Re: Jason Taylor Released

This money should go to offense ONLY and NO SKILL players.

I'm actually excited about this move in the light of the AH signing and the possibility that we blew our load on a stand out player.

Things may be looking up if we blow our new wad on OL ONLY....scatback is acceptable also.

Put it this way: Haynesworth and Hall combined to take up $13.1 million. We have $12.3 available right now - you can fit two huge contracts in that amount of space, or 5 medium ones, or lots and lots of little ones.

It's tons of space.
WWHHHOOOOOEEEEE!!!!!!! Supposedly the Skins and Taylor cound'nt come to an agreement on restructuring his contract. We're back in business boys!!!

Re: Jason Taylor Released

This is a smart move if we can significantly improve the O-line and LBs with his cap space. I imagine that's what we'll do.

We walked in to that one big time. I have to tell you a guy that will not work out with the team aka Springs and Taylor at thier age I say bye bye! Yes we have three big holes now and I hoped Taylor was going to work out but that is goen. So now we will see if Vinny and Danny can make it work. This is bigger then the three we picked up last week by far. You have three holes in your team at DE,T and LB with 4 picks in aprils draft and no 2nd rounder. This is where we will see if Vinny and Dan make this off season really great or just another wast of money and another year of 8-8 season with no play-offs!

now here's a man with some sensibility. i applaud u, sir.

we should re-sign evans, use a late draft pick on a DE (like we did for rob jackson last year) and then wait until next year to seriously address DE. taylor hardly did anything for us last year so we'll basically have what we had on the d-line last year, plus haynesworth.

trade the 13th pick for some later picks and go o-line and linebacker.
