Skins/Pack Pregame....Wildcard Style

Matt Jones (hip) returned to a limited practice Wednesday.

Jones missed Weeks 16 and 17 with a hip pointer. Alfred Morris ran for 100 yards in the finale. Coach Jay Gruden said unless Jones gets healthy quick, he'll be the odd man out Sunday against the Packers. Morris would handle early-down work with Pierre Thomas and Chris Thompson on pass downs.

I think this is relatively big...Lets hope Morris can build off last week. Green Bay will give up some yards on the ground. We have to run the ball.

Hmmm....the Matt Jones thing sucks but Morris isnt exactly a deadbeat.
Plus our other Pierre sjowed he cans till play.
I think we will be OK in this respect.
I'm glad Lick-a-tiger is back.
Le Rib wasnt horrible but his snaps were too high.

LeRib had his best week at Center this past week. The coaches are meeting to make a decision between starting Kory L and LeRib. I think its telling that Kory is healthy enough to return but their been no formal announcement of who is starting. Overall, both guys are bad at Center, but LeRib may have been better.

Putting Lichtensteiger in will improve the running game.

I think both of them suck at run blocking in Callahan scheme, but I probably lean Kory as the better. LeRib is the better Pass blocker for sure. Another thing is Rib has been the center during this second half stretch, do we want to eff this up?

Another thing about the center position for the future, Spencer Long. When he was drafted some thought his long term position was center. I think this might be best case scenario going forward next year with Luavao coming back at Guard.

Re: Skins/Pack Pregame....Wildcard Style

I dont think I've posted since the Dallas loss, was so pissed at Gruden after the game I was wishing his ass gone.Amazing how its turned around.
I think we are favored by a point over GB and we should be.How does GB lose to the Vikings at home with Teddy passing for less than a 100 yards and AP isnt a big factor either?
But GB has playoff exp, coaches have playoff exp, etc. Can Gruden and Cousins handle the pressure? Gruden doesnt need to get cute like he did with Jackson in the Dallas game.I would like him to add a few new wrinkles to the offense to show GB something different, but basically it just boils down to Cousins playing the same way he has for these last 6 games.Receivers have to hold onto the ball, cant be hitting them right in the hands and then them throwing them up in the air as in the NE game. The defense will probably give up a lot of yards, but we have been getting the turnovers,so we gotta hope that continues.
If things go like they have been,I say we win in a close game,27-24.If we have some adversity, turn the ball over a couple times, then we lose in a close one.And we have to score points when we get the turnovers!! Cant be like the 1st cowboy game

I expect the Packers to turn it up a notch over what they've shown the past few weeks. Even so, Redskins pull out the win....27-24.

Haven't been this hyped for a game since 2012. Been thinking about it since Sunday

Long will never be Center.

Litch is a really good Center. He knows the offense almost better then Kirk according to other players. He's also one of the best in the game at reaching the second level on run blocking. We are also underestimating the importance of snapping on the right count, and accurately. Which Leribeus has failed to do consistently every week.

It's not a coincidence that the run game dropped off dramatically after Litch got hurt.

Litch will start Sunday if he's 100%
