If you lose Cousins, build a hell of a defense and pull a Baltimore with Trent Dilfer kind of move.

I would love for Cousins to stay, the scenario is if he leaves and we either draft or sign another FA QB.

Yeah this is the key point. They're not mutually exclusive of one another.

Just wait, someone will say his potential contract will prevent the team from building the D

I don't think his potential contract will prevent this team from building the D. How can it? His contract will be offered from another team anyway.

Josh Norman saw a lack of chemistry in Washington – ProFootballTalk

Definitely seems plausible to think there is a correlation. Hard to build team chemistry when you treat the other guys as work colleagues and that's it. Definitely good sign that some of those guys were starting to mail it in.

I get what Norman's saying. But in the end the guys you play w/ don't have to be buds off the field. I'm guessing that everyone on the Patriots don't hang out w/ one another during off hours. Guys have families and things like that. In the end you have to have on the field chemistry, not off the field chemistry.

Re: Jay Gruden expected to return in 2018

I don't think this makes much difference. I'm much more concerned about the reports that there were players asking about their assignments during warmups before games.

Breeland who is more concerned with his rap career will be gone, hopefully ZB is back. Norman wants to win, he knows his window is closing.

Re: Jay Gruden expected to return in 2018

I am stoked that gruden will be back- I wont lie that he has needed to grow and learn on the job, but i think hes the right guy for this team. It amazes me how many people scream for his head. It takes a special Canidate to deal with the Snyder/allen combo.
A Josh Mcdaniels, or anybody else that most people are salivating over, aren't going to put themselves out there to get swallowed by them.
