Re: Texans Postgame

It doesn't matter who we bring in. If Colt gets hurt, the season is officially over. I'll take Manuel, solely because he went to FSU.

I will be staying sober on Thanksgiving.

Was this after the sack that was negated by a holding call on the Houston secondary?

If Colt gets hurt, we can still finish 6-10, which would put us in decent position to take a qb.

I'm trying to look at the positives right now lol.

Yeah, I think we're all in scramble mode. Irrational and rational are blending in together. I'm not a fan of this QB class. Give me Daniel Jones from Duke.

Re: Texans Postgame

serious question, albeit probably not really likely. Are there any CFL qb's that could come in as a backup. I have no clue how competent they are, but going against TJYates, EJ Manuel, and the other cast of qb's there might be a better option up north.

Re: Texans Postgame

There's still a bunch of football to play, but man.

AS done for the year and we squander opportunities to go 7-3 and maintain a lead on the East.

Dallas wakes up and plays a decent game -- gaining one on us and having some momentum going into a short week against us at home against our backup QB. If we manage to win, some of their fans will try to burn down Jerruhworld they'll be so upset. That would be pretty terrific, and I recall Colt coming in and beating Dallas at home a few years ago. The Texan winning in Texas.

Philly is getting pasted by the Saints. Worse than our ass whooping. So that's nice. And the Bucs turn it over 4 times to find a way to lose to the Giants.

So other than Philly losing, a crappy day all around (to put it mildly).

I'd love to see the team rally around Colt. They really like him -- he's been a standup guy for years now, and he'd be easy to root for (easily as much as Foles was last year for some folks). But Gruden has to game call aggressively -- conservative with AS would win some games (and did), but we cannot assume that about Colt.

Ugh -- let's be honest, there's no one half decent available, and so if Colt gets hurt, they might as well get Brian Mitchell to come out of the booth and sling it.

Mason Foster is too slow to play Ilb for this team. We need to upgrade at that position. Every week he is a liability.

Bradford can't stay healthy either and would be too expensive even for a backup. Just pick up some scrub on the streets as a back up and let's roll.

He would be a good SAM in a 4-3, killer run stopper.

He would be worse than Foster in our scheme.
