This brings up a problem though, normally wiliams keeps all three linebackers in instead of another db for nickel. Our dbs have looked like crap, and now we dont have as good of a linebacker core. Hopefully barrow will be back soon.

Pierce will be fine. He's only 25 years old and listens to Gregg Williams. I'm sick and tired of these Giants rejects that seems to keep creeping up in the camp. Barrow is too old and slow for this defense which will definiitely be quicker than we have seen. With Lavar, M.Washington, Pierce and Kheri Campbell we got something cooking here and that's youth.

But remember my Redskins brother, the weapon is FS Sean Taylor. He's a DB diguised as a Safety. 6'1, 233 lbs. Oh Yeahhhhhhh!

wow, barrow is a monster. 150 tackles last year, and dont use the excuse of a "bad dline". he is very good, and the safety valve we need, a sure tackler, someone who will fill the holes hes supposed to! dont downplay his importance.

I think Pierce can fill in well but we'll definitely miss Barrow for his leadership, knowledge of this defense and his ability to make plays.

I'm not saying he's the next Ray Lewis, but Williams has had nothing but good things to say about him. I'm looking forward to seeing him get some significant playing time.
This D wont mis a beat with Pierce, size at LB in William's D isn't a premium, speed, then instinct's are, and Pierce has both, he will have significant playing time regardless if Barrow start's or not.

A NFL scout was quoted as saying that Pierce has OK speed, he looks a little stiff laterally, but they liked his versatillity, but not a 3 down guy............
