Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
What gets me most excited about the Allen pick is the coaching around him.
He'll be coached by Tomsula going against a Callahan Offensive Line in practice. I like the chances of him maximizing his potential.

Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
I hope with the second pick they go for either Ryan Anderson (Allen's teammate)
Or the Connecticut S. https://www.google.com/amp/www.cbssp...ing-about/amp/

Good article with videos. I don't think there was a single player in this draft that was a better fit. I can't believe he fell to is. If we get get another big body (Tuikolovatu?) late in the draft, we are going to have a vastly improved D line. Especially our run game. It would be nice to also add a pass rusher and an ILB. But looking at the board, I think they go with Safety (I like Buddha Baker), but if Dalvin Cook falls to is by some crazy luck (like we had tonight) I think that's a must pick. It might be worth it to move up for him even.

Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
Lol great to see Cowboys got screwed. They wanted CBs Conley or White. Or they would have taken Peppers. They all got chosen right before their pick! Lololololol
Great first round!

Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
2nd round I'd go C or RB. We've now added a ton of defense this OS so far. We need a RB

Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
I think we're set up well for the second round. I checked my list and there are more than 17 players I'd be happy to pick still on the board. I'm less concerned about position than I am about good value. Another defensive player would be great but so would a game-breaker at RB or a plug-and-play LG. We'll be fine.

Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
Really happy with this pick.
I'm ok with BPA for the rest of the draft (and this 1st pick may very have been BPA). If you think about it: we improved our secondary by signing Swearinger and moving Cravens to SS; we're way better with Zach Brown at ILB; and now Allen... Sure another playmaker at DL would be nice, we could use a CB , a LG/C and a RB. But I don't see any gaping holes in this team anymore. I would love us NOT to draft a QB before the 5th round, would mean they HAVE to sign KC long term before July 15th. Only position I don't want us to draft is WR. Our receiving corp is loaded. Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
The more I think about it, our next pick should be the S from Connecticut, Hall and Blackmon are old, need to get more young blood. Other options, another pass rusher or DL.

I was just coming to say, if Cook isn't there when we pick, that's who I want next

Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
The UConn S has measurables, but I'm reading a LOT about how stiff he is in the hips. Not sure I want to take a chance on him, especially if we end up having to decide between him and Baker.
