Re: Draft day 2018
I like the pick but still wish we'd have taken the chance and traded down with the Saints. Other than them drafting a DE/OLB, nobody else went DL between 13 and 27.
Do you guys think the Saints would've taken Payne instead of Davenport had we traded with them? This could even be the reason why we didn't trade with them... Anyway, it's not like it would have given us any significant value for this year, so I'm ok with our pick. I'd like us to go G in the 2nd round. Or trade down and get one in the 3rd. I understand the hype about getting a new RB, but I'd be more pumped by having a complete offensive line.

From a person on the couch, he does look like the strongest guy on the field on every clip I've seen.

Re: Draft day 2018
Giants would be fools to pass up on Hernandez

Re: Draft day 2018
I agree if Hernandez falls he'd be a hell of a pick. I think Guice is the only RB left I'd take over him.

Re: Draft day 2018
BTW there is a good amount of secondary talent left on the board too. Wouldn't mind if we took Josh Jackson for example. But I think we will be able to grab one in the 4th or 5th that could potentially push for playing find this year. This may have been part of what went into the decision of Payne over James. There is a significant drop off in NT talent after Payne and Vea, like may make the practice squad kid of stop off, whereas there are a lot of safeties and corners that are potential early starters left on the board.

Re: Draft day 2018
Browns at 1-4 first round and came out:
Baker Mayfield D Ward They had D Ward rated higher than Chub and Nelson? Baker was on the top QB on the board? Lotta risk here... |

Re: Draft day 2018
I thought ward was a reach, I think Lattimore's success with NO had some influence with the pick.

Horrible, horrible drafting! Baker Mayfield is not the person to set the right example for his teammates. Passing on Chubb and Nelson at #4 in favor of an undersized CB was ridiculous. |

All of his teammates at OU loved him, this is once again perception of the media, don't let that fool u. He's not Manziel, the kid has earned everything he has. 2 walk on spots to a Heisman trophy. That doesn't happen by accident. Will he be a star? Nobody knows but it was the right pick for them.

Re: Draft day 2018
These aren’t the same old Browns making these picks, I think Scot McCloughan had a lot of influence there with taking Mayfield

Re: Draft day 2018
Hue Jackson knows QB's as well, it was a good pick.
Sidenotes ESPN Coverage is awful, Louis is the only guy i like.. Trey Wingo is so washed up and corny, Kiper is who he is... Joe Flacco will be the starting QB in NY in 2019.
