It doesn't need to be, but I am hoping it will (with us). Because of the DT's in the draft though teams may wait to see if they land one.

I do think Hankins will sign before the draft like last year, but I think last year's DT draft was a lot weaker, and so he had more leverage. His agent may be telling him to wait out the draft and see what team comes out hungry and wanting.

Yep especially those 2 players. I admit I don't follow college football that much but numerous report claim the caliber of those 2 players are rare and I can imagine how we use one of those 2 players to transform our defense by mixing it up with Nicholson and Swearinger at same time on the field to confuse QBs. And, not to mention the fact that we would be set with safeties with Nicholson and James/Fitzpatrick for years to come if we draft one of those 2 players.

I'd rather have James, he has the speed to play S and CB.. Fitz is a good one too but he doesn't have that athleticism like James.

-Quenton Nelson Dream on! It would be a miracle if he lasts until #13. It would take less than one picosecond for me to turn in that card!

-Derwin James Playmaker! I'd love to have this player.

-Calvin Ridley WR? Meh. I'd rather have DJ Moore, anyway.

-Vita Vea Fills a big need in a big way.
See above.

In between that workout with Philly and his official visit with the team, Guice will head to Washington for a visit with the Redskins from Sunday-Monday. Remember, Washington president Bruce Allen had dinner with Guice before his pro day, as I reported weeks ago.

per Ledyard

There have only been 7 RB's picked in the Top 12 since 2010. That's 8 drafts. If history is an indicator, it seems that there is a good chance that Guice will be available when we pick.

Guice should definitely be there at 13, too high to take him there though

This could indicate plans to trade back.

Yep, now Barkley is a different story, I'd trade up to get him

I think the whole front office has been pretty open with wanting to trade back.

Heard an interview on Cooley show with Jay about the draft. He said they had 20+ players they liked in the 1st. Again who knows what the truth is, but liking that many players in the 1st and all the open comments about trading back indicates that's the plan.

Biggest obstacle is finding a partner and agreeing on price

I think there could be multiple teams wanting to trade up to #13. There will be a few great players that slide and if one is a QB the Redskins will have a few good offers.

I think there is a ton of smoke before an NFL draft. Don't believe everything you hear.
