Re: Colts-Redskins Postgame Thread
With Duke Johnson getting almost no play in Cleveland, what would others think about trying to make a move for him? He is under a new contract (it might be a little high, but not bad). He could be a good pairing with AP/CT this year and DG/CT next year.

Re: Colts-Redskins Postgame Thread
Boy are we thin in the RB ranks. We have AP (33 years old, and who knows how long he will hold up), CT (coming off major injury), Perine (is he still out?), and now no one else. I assume this means we will probably go hunting for another RB who is out of work. Darkwa? Charles? We obviously cannot go into a game with two healthy RBs. I was going to say that I hope they go find Mack Brown who I thought was on the Vikings practice squad, but he's on IR. Hell, even our former RBs are on IR!

Perine should be active this week. Bibbs is on the practice squad if need be.

Bloody hail, under the last coach runningback was never a position of concern but under the new regime Wash has had no luck? Even when healthy the backs have been subpar, at best.

Re: Colts-Redskins Postgame Thread
What happened with Kelley? I didn't know he was dinged up at all until the IR report today.

-Luck did make some really good throws under pressure. And a couple of bad ones, amongst which a 3rd down incompletion which could've been key if our offense had been alive. So while I agree we need more productivity from our pass rush, we did generate some pressure in this game. -Smith made another real tight throw to Reed late in the 3rd. But late in the 3rd and 4th he coulda/shoulda taken some shots. -Reaaaally bad performance by the OL. Even Scherff had a bad one in the running game... -I agree with those saying we need more in game adjustments, and that was obvious on the defensive side of the ball: they were running pick play after pick play after pick play late in the game and we still had absolutely no answer! On their last TD drive, I think there was only one pass play that wasn't a pick play...

Kelley just seems to always be hurt. He's another one that just can not stay healthy for the life of him.

Re: Colts-Redskins Postgame Thread
On one of Luck's td passes the wr ran a short cross and no one even covered the guy. I mean no one. I'm sure they practiced against this play in practice. Why the communication breakdown?
I'm not even mad though about the d. Yeah they can't rush the passer but they played well enough for us to win that game. |

Watching that play again, just before the snap you can see DJ talking at Dunbar and pointing at Hilton, then Dunbar points at Hilton, that would mean Dunbar was responsible for Hilton but lost him in traffic, Hilton was outside and went inside while the TE and the inside receiver both went inside. Blown coverage on what seems to be a late audible. That shit happens. More mad at Manusky for not adjusting earlier in the game, or at least during that drive.

All Luck was doing was getting to the line, moving someone or just seeing how we would line up to see if we were in man. So you disguise it or audible out |
