Yeah, no thank you. Seen him play plenty. Maybe in the third round.
Pickett or Strong I would strongly consider in the first. I like Corall but Im also concerned about his durability. Dude is tough as nails, but the NFL is the NFL.

We'd have the best offense in terms of yards, but our record would likely remain the same.

I don’t see Ron taking a rookie QB , he’s just not that kind of coach. He wants a veteran leader and also he knows a rookie means rebuild.. he can’t waste time on that. The only way I see him taking one at 11 is if they sign a Mitch T to play until the rookie is ready

Valid point.. It just sucks since there is no viable QB available in free agency, just like last year. The only way for us to get a good QB is to trade but the thing is it seems like Wilson, Watson and Rodgers don't even consider WFT as a possible new team for them. This is a big and difficult situation for the team to figure out.

That is the most likely scenario to me. Sign one of the available Veteran free agents, or trade for tier 2-3 Veteran, then draft a QB in the first three rounds.

It's why it is the hardest position in sports to get right

Will Mitch T cost more than Fitz or TH? Cus if so no thanks. Mitch T is awful. I do not want to allocate a single extra dollar to acquire a quarterback who isn’t going to make a damn bit of difference.

I can't deal with another year of mediocre QB play, so if the opening day starter is Trubisky or Heinicke, I might have to find something else to do.

Trubisky signed for $2.5m last year and Fitz cost us $10m so Trubisky should be cheaper but you get what you pay for in the end

Yeah it is so frustrating. But it is like going out to dinner. Bad meals suck. Bad meals that cost more than other bad meals are infuriating. Lol.

Jeez. Had no idea Fitz was so much more. I mean is that guy done? If he were healthy id actually feel halfway decent about our chances. Guess were gonna find out.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread

I'd like to see the WFT acquire Marcus Mariota and then draft a QB in Round 2 or Round 3. QB1 = Mariota QB2 = Heineke QB3 = Rookie ( to start the season).

I know but the last time I saw him playing for the Raiders he looked terrific. He is a great athlete with size. I hope the Commanders brain trust will at least consider him as a bridge to the QB of the future.

Note: This was intended as a reply to SFREDSKIN's post (below).

Mariota was terrible when he played for the Titans.
