Raleighredskinfan info for you....
Pierce is not our for sure. You see he is a RFA and can leave if another team gives him a offer and the Redskins don't match it!

would the signing of pierce by another team give us a draft pick? if so I'm guessing it'd be in the 5-7 range but hey that's better than nothing if we can get one of the players discussed to sign for what we'd sign Pierce too plus get a pick for Pierce signing with another team.

Yeah, we'd get a pick.

Trotter will be here this year, then re-negotiate or leave.
We are too thin on the D-line to cut Brandon Noble until summer training camp at the earliest. |

Why cut Noble? Hasn't really had a chance to show his abilities in burgundy & gold yet.

A little too much depth, if you ask me!

We obviously aren't going to carry Arrington, Trotter, Washington, Pierce, Mitchell, Short and Favors along with a slew of practice players. We aren't looking at Short and Favors for "depth". Somebodies getting cut or let go- as someone else pointed out earlier, maybe it's Pierce or Mitchell, but we aren't looking at both Short and Favors if we were going to keep the current crew. Now that I hear Trotter's cap number for this year is decent but balloons next year, maybe we keep him one more year, but unless he improves drastically this year, I bet he's gone. Plus, I hope we keep Pierce. He has looked good to me. Mitchell is getting old though...

I thought they just resigned Mitchell. Peirce is an RFA, so we can match if we want to. Why resign and restrict if you don't want em?
Lots of LBs, not a lot of linemen. Hmmm... sounds kinda 3-4ish.

They did just resign Mitchell, so if someone is to go it will likely be Pierce.

They will probably let them all compete at mini-camp and release/cut whoever ends up at the bottom of the list.

Hmmm...ESPN is reporting that the Giants cut Barrow, their middle linebacker. Any scouting stats on him? Might he be a possibility for the 'skins?

We aren't looking at Favors or Short as "starters" that's for sure. |

Before you judge Trotter, remember...a bad Dline makes backers look terrible.
