Shawn Lauvao was 'just a guy', Flowers has been much better than he ever was.

He’s been better than SL no doubt.

Cherry picking two bad plays is kind of silly. For the most part he has graded well. Look at PFF, they watch every play and grade it. Flowers has come out very well.

I definitely agree, as I said I could've picked plenty of other plays where he looked really good.
The thing is I am not picking on him. I am picking on the fact this organisation still hasn't learned to shut its mouth.

Giving Flowers some Public praise for his play and his potential is additional motivation for Flowers to grow. After all the hate his signing deservedly got from fans and the media, i'd say the praise is well earned.
Praise is definitely deserved. I just wish this organisation would learn its lesson about over promising and under delivering.
Saying "He's come a long way in a short period of time and has surprised a lot of people. He's a tremendous hard worker and I know he is gonna continue to improve." would have been a lot different to me.

While I know "could" only expresses a possibility, I still think a 1-5 team that embarrassingly almost lost/barely beat the worst team in the league is not in a position to say who's a future pro bowler in its roster.

I mean if I suddenly trained super hard and won a local boxing tournament, every body around me would be impressed, but if I went "Hey if I keep up this pace I could become world champion.", everybody would go "Hey hey easy man you're not there yet", and they would be right, even though I'd have used "could" and not "will", am I wrong ?

Scherff is going to get paid too much. But I never really considered all of the cap space we can clear with some much needed cuts. We need to keep him (I flipped my position on this). For talent and culture purposes. Trade Trent, cut Moses, draft Andrew Thomas from GA then sign a cheaper veteran or later round pick at RT. The money saved on Moses can go right to BS.

Re: Who will be the next coach of the Redskins and does it even freakin matter?

If Danny Snyder does not fire and replace Bruce Allen OR make a public statement that neither he nor BA will be engaged in any Redskin personnel decisions in the future, then the decision on who will be the Redskin's HC makes no difference.

The last 20 years has proved that Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen (previously Vince Cerrato) are the worst owner/GM combination in the NFL. Whether the HC has Hall of Fame talent (Gibbs) or is a terrible HC (Zorn) or is somewhere in between, he can not overcome the handicap of Snyder / B. Allen making or being involved in personnel decisions. Snyder and Bruce Allen are just plain incompetent and too much of a negative drag on the organization or in keeping the Redskins from creating a winning franchise culture.

Furthermore, any HC who comes here knows how Snyder / Allen continue to hurt the football team. The HC either is coming here JUST FOR THE MONEY or because they know that they WILL NEVER COACH ANYWHERE ELSE. Not exactly a striking endorsement is it?

Re: Who will be the next coach of the Redskins and does it even freakin matter?

So I was listening to Kevin Sheehan talking about the buzz around the Redskins and Alex Smith coming back to play in 2020, after he's fully healed from his 17 surgeries! And as Kevin was joking about how crazy of an idea that is...I thought about it, wouldn't it be so like Bruce and Dan to think they can hire Eric Bieniemy away from the Chiefs as their next head coach, get Alex back next year who already knows his system and let Haskins sit and learn it next year behind Alex, and next think you know...we're as good as the Chiefs are!!! Because they're already sooo close!!!

Yep, I could see them easily doing this. Just not sure EB will come here. He may have other opportunities that are better than this job.

If that actually happens I'm done, that will be the last straw and Haskins will be crushed as well.

I'm sure Andy Reid would advise him to stay away, or he may even tell him to go interview with them, so you can so what to avoid in an NFL franchise owner and GM.

Keim’s podcast mentioned having Haskins meet twice a week with Smith to teach him, supposedly McCoy has been helping him.

That's great strategy.. Not sure what McCoy can help Haskins with though?
