I think it only takes effect for this when the new league year starts. If no deal happens we still play this year under the old CBA.

That makes sense, so there is a fall back .. this year just defaults to the old CBA if a new CBA is not agreed to. Thank you

Ravens guard Marshal Yanda decides to retire

Wow, huge loss for the Ravens. Between him and Martin in Dallas, they have been the most talented Guards in the game. Big hole to plug...much like Cred's mom

Neat video showing the progression of the top 15 career passing yards leaders of all time for the NFL from the days of Baugh to now.

One more day for CBA voting. A ton of franchise tag decisions will be made Sunday and Monday.

Re: Offseason: Around the NFL

I'd rather sign Cooper and go cheaper at TE like Walker for a year.

I'd rather have Hooper and draft a WR. Even if we sign Hooper I still want to draft another TE

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

I agree. This is reportedly a large class of good WR prospects.

Panthers release Cam Newton

Honestly, after the botch tweet, the Panthers were doomed. Gotta love the start of the Matt Rhule era in Carolina.

He will be 36 and has played in 8 games and caught 25 passes the last two seasons combined. He fell off the last couple years just like VD who were both rookies in SF at the same time. You will be getting what would happen if Vernon Davis played another year.
