I kept my sanity though and didnt complain about not taking a qb because none of them were sure things. So props to shanny and co for not reaching even a little bit. That being said we "lucked out" and got rg3. Minus three superbowls it is arguably the greatest turn of events in redskin history.

The funny thing is that death sentence is what gave us the leverage (our original high 2012 1st rounder) to get RGIII.
Yeah, Shanny and Allen deserve some credit for bringing talent back to the team. They haven't been perfect (McNabb), but nobody is.

We probably wouldn't have taken Locker at 8 (my opinion)

Whole Cutler deal was kind of crazy

Cerrato tried sooo sooo hard to get Sanchez.

The one thing about Mike Shahanan is that he knows quarterbacks. Had Ponder or Locker been available in the 2nd round the Redskins probably would have selected one of them in that round and passed on Jarvis Jenkins. But I'm glad we got Kerrigan and Jenkins.

Ponder was right there for them to take twice, and they passed both times

No. Ponder was only available once. The Redskins traded back with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags took Blaine Gabbert with Washington's 10th overall pick. The Minnesota Vikings, your other former team, took Christian Ponder with the 12th overall pick. And the Redskins took Ryan Kerrigan with Jacksonville's pick at 16th overall.

Had the Redskins stayed at #10 overall and not traded back, then and only then was Ponder there for the taking. But Bruce Allen and Mike Shanahan obviously felt that the Redskins 31st ranked defense needed upgrades so they traded back and took Ryan Kerrigan.

Right, forgot it was just one trade down.

RG3 is a renegade quarterback that can't be stopped. Opposing defensive coordinators are definitely losing sleep because of him.

Kenny Mayne's supposed to have a piece on RG3 next Sunday. I hear it's pretty good

Shit, they may have added a Redskins piece today. Silly piece as per Mayne's usual
