Trade with SD?

I would like to see The Redskins trade down in the 1st round with the Chargers. They are sitting at 12 & 28. We give up the 9th spot for their two 1st round picks, and if needed give Marty back Rod Gardner. It is probably a long shot, but stranger things have happened.

Re: Trade with SD?

Why would they want to give us two 1st round picks for the # 9 spot? Is there someone they're coveting?

Re: Trade with SD?

I think the only reason they would move up is to get a WR, and why would we trade down if either Williams or Edwards is there?

Re: Trade with SD?

not gonna happen but if it did i would kick gardner out my self and that number 9

not much of a difference for the 9-12 so i don't think that they really care bout that and that leaves a 28th pick for Gardner no way.

More realistic we give 9th and gardner they give 12 and a second round pick and even that is a really big long shot

Re: Trade with SD?

Maybe the 9 and Gardner for the 12 and their 2nd and 3rd.

Otherwise, NO WAY

2nd and third or is it supposed to be second or third because i don't see us getting three pics and 2 upper draft pics for gardner

Possible with a liittle push garder + 9th for 12th and 2nd rounder

I'd like a pony ride, some things just have to remain wishful thinking.

I don't want to get greedy. I just want Mike Williams.

Re: Trade with SD?

This trade will never happen. Butler in SD is way to smart to fall into that trap. He has a great eye for talent. All of his picks played important roles last year. He can pick well in the low rounds, this guy is the best in the business right now.

Re: Trade with SD?

I don't think on the little value chart all the GMs have(they really do have a chart of pick value I swear) that 12 + 28 = 9(too muc). I am too lazy to look up what their second is but I am guessing it is the 28 and I think 12 + 60 aslo doesn't equal 9(too little). Our best bet is...all hell let me look this up.. probably something like NO's 1st and 2nd. That'd be funny since we'd be trading back to get our old second rounder back. That'd put us at 16 in round 1 and then 9 in the second which is probably about right in value. I don't know if dropping back to 16 out of 9 is a good call or not. Depends on who they target.

Re: Trade with SD?

Well - if they feel they can get a special player they'll throw the chart away. See Mike Ditka + Saints +R. Williams = Chris Samuels, Lavar Arrington +

OK, but just to clarify, by 'pony' I meant pony and by 'ride' I actually meant ride......Are you the dude with the Pink Lincoln Continental who tried to buy my ex-fiancee last season?

Seriously, when I lived in England I rode every weekend, Point-to-Point and was training to play Polo. La-de-dah......

Re: Trade with SD?

Here's a value chart:

http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/6330687

According to this, fair value for trading down from the 9th pick to the 12th pick (a 150-point difference) would be a low third-round pick. Getting the 28th pick for that is just ridiculous, even if you throw in Rod Gardner.
