Re: Super Bowl 51 Week

Can anyone suggest a good rehab clinic in the ATL? I'm sure seating will be limited as I expect the entire Falcons defense to be enrolled.

That choice to pass instead of running the clock down and kick the fieldgoal was the worst play calling ever.
To me that's way stupider than Caroll not feeding Lynch the ball.
Because there's no upside in passing the ball in that situation. You don't even care about scoring a TD at that point, a fieldgoal is more than enough...

Hell they could have kneel it down 3 times and kick a forty something yarder...

Arthur Blanks face told the story, from the euphoria of winning to suicidal thoughts after choking.

Don't forget the previous drive when Kyle called a pass on 3rd and a yard and a half, Ryan was sacked and fumbled, starting the improbable NE comeback from 16 down with 8 minutes left. Kyle deserves a ton of blame, although Ryan knows better than taking the next sack when they were in FG range to go up 2 scores with under 4 minutes left. Complete meltdown by the Atlanta offense. They hung their defense out to dry.

Blank jinxed his team by leaving his box to celebrate on the sideline as if the game was over. Total Jerry Jones move.

Yes he did.

This pretty much sums it up.

All The Falcons Had To Do Was Not Lose 23 Yards

Ryan knows better but as a OC you have to know that anything can happen on a pass play...

To that's a situation where you don't even have a choice. Double tight, I formation, run it up the middle 3 times, in the huddle alert "no fumble, no penalty and we've won", and kick the game killing fieldgoal...

At that point you can't even play call, that's mathematic.

Re: Super Bowl 51 Week

The OC had faith in his MVP QB and his team had been successful all season and all game ,Ryan had the choice of changing plays. If you wanna blame a coordinator blame the defensive coordinator.

All the Kyle had to do was call 2 run plays and they win the Super Bowl

Re: Super Bowl 51 Week

Kyle Shanahan?
I remember him.
Hes the guy that had Cooley run the ball two plays in a row for 1/2 a yard.
He's a brilliant coordinator.
Good luck in Frisco, sonny.

The Falcons offense really did hang their defense out to dry. The final time of possession was 40:31 for the Patriots and 23:37 for the Falcons. Almost double the amount of time they controlled the ball. Looking at the stats, you'd think that Matt Ryan had a fantastic game, but this is where numbers should be put into context.

1-8 on third down conversions. Horrible. Couldn't convert a third down to save their lives. Stupid play calling, stupid execution. This game wasn't as much as how Tom Brady won the game, it's more about how fucking inept the Falcons were to actually blow this game. They had to put in some insane effort to lose a game that had them pegged at 97% chance of winning. Say what you want to about the Warriors and Indians in their choke jobs, but those were 3 separate games. This loss would be like the Indians blowing a 10 game lead in the bottom of the 7th in game 7.

Kyle only had Freeman rush 11 times, and Coleman 7 times. SMH. He's a brilliant guy, but he often tries to be too cute and ends up failing badly. I imagine his tenure in San Francisco won't last long at all.
