The latter seems to be more accurate, though why go for Luck when we already have a future hall of famer on the roster in John Beck?

i like the trade. i would rather him as our starter going forward. he's simply the best we have right now and his contract isn't that ridiculous. but i knew that wasn't going to happen, better than cutting him. that late, picks are picks, trading pieces to move around the board.
