Re: Redskins Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down
You guys covered the thumbs down.
Thumbs up: Offensive line protection Thumbs up: Stephon Heyer. I haven't heard much from his side, which is good as far as I'm concerned. Thumbs up: When was the last time Swish made 3 FGs? Thumbs up: Malcolm Kelly. Starting to earn his keeps. Thumbs up: JC running the ball. More dicisive when he's had running room. Thumbs up: Cornelius Griffin. |

Re: Redskins Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down
I liked that Zorn used almost all our offensive weapons, just not necessarily how and when he used them

Re: Redskins Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down
He runs a lot of 2 TE stuff, which is good, but when he tries to get the ball to Davis, it's almost like saying "hey, we should probably give the ball to Fred Davis here". And then running something more designed to get the ball to Fred Davis than to actually move the ball forward.

Re: Redskins Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down
Thumbs down to Steve Spagnoulo, who made Zorn look like a clock managing genius by wasting all of his timeouts in the third quarter, the final one on a punt.

Re: Redskins Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down
Yeah, no shit. Had we been playing anyone else, surely we lose this game. But then again, the Skins have a tendacy to play the tough teams well.

Re: Redskins Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down
Up: Cooley's 7 receptions and 83 yards.
Down: The TE being the only receiving threat. |

Re: Redskins Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down
Thumbs up to Kelly. He surpassed last years totals and I don't think he drops passes that he gets his hands on. Very upbeat about his attitude too. On the post game show, he talked about staying late this week and working on other plays. Sounds very level headed and upbeat!

Did we use more shotgun this week? If so thumbs up. Seemed liked JC was very confident.

I thought Danny Smith was going to tackle Zorn, racing down the sideline to keep him from calling that last timeout. Today's experience at Fed X was a riot to say the least. |

Re: Redskins Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down
We re-watched that several times. Looks like Danny told JZ to take the timeout (expecting him to let the clock run down) and Zorn started to call it immediately. Very funny to see Danny Smith yanking Zorn's hands apart so he couldnt call it that fast.
