Cousins will only get better here, but starting back with a rookie makes me want to vomit.
I'd be willing to bet both sides are just playing this out through the media to build their case. Cousins could have made it much easier on his agent if he didn't lay an egg on the last game -- but I'd bet he's going to be here long-term.

He had a beast of a season with the Rams. Imagine what he could do with us? My only concern is that with Crowder, Reed, Davis, Garcon, and Doc wouldn't we be better suited throwing that money at our defense?

Redskins sign former first-rounder Phil Taylor | ProFootballTalk

Probably last chance for him but this guy is a damn good player when healthy. Very solid force. It would be great if Taylor and galette could get healthy. Shit I'll take one of the two.

I don't think we would go after Britt if we were able to keep Garcon.

Wondering if we end up with the guy from Carolina as DC, if we target Kawann Short and let Baker walk.

Yeah with all of our needs on D it seems silly, but what if Doc doesn't pan out? What if, as I suspect, D-Jax makes all other wr's better because he draws attention? I would love to have D-Jax back. Probably not going to happen.
Than there is Reeds injury history? Our vaunted wr corp could become a problem real quick with the departure of D-Jax and Docs question mark. Throw in an injury and blamo.

I can just see us bolstering and fielding a legit D, and than our offense sputters. On top of the wr questions there is that run game thingy.
I gotta get positive. Lol. Legit concerns though.

I have very, very high hopes on Galette. Many will call me nuts, but they don't know the medicine like I do. When your Achilles is repaired it's actually stronger than it ever was in the first place.

It's a matter of regaining explosion, and all reports last summer told us he got it back. I think he will do it again.

Top NT on the market is Dontari Poe, do you throw a Snacks Harrison type contract at him???

Cousins, Garçon, D Jax, Chris Baker, Vernon Davis, Junior Gallette, Duke Ihenache, K Golston, John Sullivan, Greg Toler, Terrence Garvin and can't forget our long snapper Nick Sundberg.

Who you bringing back?

I'm going with

Cousins 23.0 per year 5 year deal
Chris Baker 8.5-9.5 3 year deal
Garçon 7.0-8.0 3 year deal
Nick Sundberg 1 3 year deal
Vernon Davis 2.5 1 year deal
Junior Gallette 1.5 prove it 1 year
Duke Nachos 1.5 1 year

I'd probably look into bringing Center J Sullivan into camp for depth.

No way am I giving Chris Baker almost 10 million a year.

If I knew we would get Snacks Harrison production out of him than yes! Snacks absolutely turned around the Giants D.

Which sucked because I wanted Snacks last year.

That might be a little high, but the guy has been one of the top dt in the league the last couple years. 7 million per year would be a great value.

I'd consider Poe for sure at dt...him or Bennie Logan would be a great free agent gets at that position.
