Guice is going to be a monster if he can stay healthy

Re: Guice Looking Good

All I'm saying is I would keep expectations low on Guice. He's never played a NFL game and hasn't played since his bowl game in 2018. The potential is there obviously.

Re: Guice Looking Good

Getting Guice back is like getting another high round pick at little cost.

And what I cant wrap my head around is why not build around him and the run game....hello, look at Dallas. We are too fixated on the QB

Good point, and justifies your intense focus on the TE position, needing an effective in-line blocker at that spot (effective at minimum, dominant preferably).

As for Guice, I'll personally be shocked if he's not a stud. There are not many things with this team I'm more sure about.

Re: Guice Looking Good

Im really bullish on Guice...just want him healthy.

If we take our first 2 picks and go TE and then LG...wow...could really raise the profile of the offense without worrying about QB.

Yes! I like this. But the TE needs to be a blocker and a receiver. Not a soft hands receiver that wont do the hard work.
We also need a blocking and receiving Fullback. But our coach is fixated on the 3WR sets, has not blocking TE's or FB's and then wonders why we cannot run the ball. Abandons the run all together when we lose the lead in games.

Im really hoping the new OC has a lot of control of the strategy and style...would like to see what he thinks with the run game and personnel with the run game.

The fact the FO did give a look at a converted TE from Oline whose primary function is blocking...kinda gives me hope.

Re: Guice Looking Good

I've mentioned this a few times, a few years ago I think they should have told Reed to lose 20 pounds and play the X WR. He can block DB's, he can't block NFL LB's. Oh well...

I'm looking forward to seeing the 2 headed monster of Derrius Guice and Adrian Peterson...

It might be like a Junior G's situation. Too much weight moving too fast twitch making him injury prone.

I like this idea better than any I've heard.

He is an awesome receiver.

The if he can stay healthy part is a bit concerning.....nobody saw that torn acl coming last year....I hope they are smart with him come preseason......if they are really smart they will sit him the whole preseason and practice hard with him.

I am pretty sure they will take it slow with Guice, we wouldn't have resigned AP if they believe Guice is healthy enough to take over #1 spot full time.

He hyperextended that knee at LSU, it could have contributed to the ACL tear.

If Guice is slow to return to full form, Jay has it covered.

Jesus.
