Re: COMMANDERS BYE WEEK THREAD
Due to his injury Mathis hasn't had the opportunity to prove that he is a keeper, much less that he can step in and fill 94's big shoes. We need Payne for at least one more year, so if he can't be re-signed then he must be franchised - but just once.

Re: COMMANDERS BYE WEEK THREAD
I don't see how they can keep all three either. Just my opinion but I think Payne might be the odd man out of the three. Payne is much better lined up at nose in the 0-1 tech much like Allen which gives us redundancy. Mathis is a much more natural 3 tech which is what Payne has been playing for most of his career. I really don't know what they will do.

COMMANDERS BYE WEEK THREAD
Go Eagles, Go Panthers. If Carolina can win tonight we are looking at a real good situation if we beat the Vagiants next week at home. Even if Seattle wins we are still in a great position if we win next week. Basically three weeks preparing for the same team and a bye week while they get beat up by Philly. No excuses for Ron and Co to come out flat next week.

Re: COMMANDERS BYE WEEK THREAD
So after Wentz is released we will $45.5 million in cap space plus whatever the cap goes up to next year? I would resign Payne, Sweat, Curl, Wise, Gibson, maybe Holcomb if there is enough $$. Might need to trade cut Logan Thomas and Roullier.

No way, I'd definitely franchise tag him over that. Re-sign him or FT him are the only 2 options imo. The 1st year franchise tag is a good tool for teams. If you don't get a contract done even after that year, then let X player walk.

Re: COMMANDERS BYE WEEK THREAD
Current projections by 538 for playoffs. Washington 73% after week 14.
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com...l-predictions/ You can alter the upcoming game sto see how probability changes. No need to restate the obvious but this week is huge. With a win Commanders probability of playoffs jumps to 90% a loss drops them down to 35%. Win 2 of next 3 and it is 98%.
