Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives

Positives:
  • No injuries.
  • It's only one game. This week is a must win though.
  • Kicking game looked solid.
  • DeSean Jackson looked good.

Negatives:

  • Offense was pure dog shit. No running game still. 3/10 on third down conversions.
  • Shit coaching. These guys were clueless in the game planning. (especially defensively)
  • Penalties. Seemed like this was the 5th pre-season game. No discipline whatsoever.
  • Our center is trash.
  • No pass rush whatsoever which goes along with the next point.
  • Our DL is pure shit. If Kedrick Gholston is starting, you know you are in deep shit. It showed last night.
  • Kirk Cousins proved the doubters right as to why we shouldn't have signed him to a huge contract. Guy has to do much better than that crap he showed last night.

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives

TOTALLY OUTCOACHED!!!! also the redskins don't have the Push on the d line to beat any good team. the cowboys are gonna have a field day with us. fortunately we did not sign Cousins to any long term deal because he looked very average..SM has made a good decision on letting this year play out on Cousins. I WANT to see him beat good teams!! his record against good teams is not good.. how many playoff teams has Cousins beat? COWBOYS 42 skins 10 ...it pains me to say it......

KC still looks like the bright lights get to him. That's the next step he needs to take, he's gotta show up in big games.

Yeah last night he was not any good. His numbers were better than his performance. There is no excuses, he has a good line and great targets. Reed was balling until the defense took him away. Kirk has to move around more too, Jon was right when he said kirk has to take off for those few yards on 3rd down. That's what is most concerning to me and it also shows y Scot didn't sign him right away.

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives

Dustin Hopkins is the only positive.

Negatives...

Joe Barry..I've seen enough to know he isn't going to take an average group and make them better.

Breeland..not sure I can blame him more than the coaches. They let him down.

Cousins...you're not a top ten qb right now. When are you going to play a great game against a strong team??

Kerrigan..you're just an average pass rusher dude.

Thompson ...can't pass protect for shit, can't run a route past the first down marker.

Entire dline...no talent, no play makers.

Penalties..a sign of an undisciplined team.

Not sure what anyone saw from the Cowboys that makes you believe they're just going to steamroll us. It's a new week, things change in a hurry these days. Chill bra.

Lol Dallas isn't rolling anyone, I watched that whole game and both of those teams would have lost last night too. Ny still has no oline and Dallas has no pass rush. The Steelers would have got them just like they did us.

Its not what Dallas did ..its how bad our D is . I am tired of the high expectations of this team so from now on I will just expect to lose ...I stand by my prediction Cowboys win in a blow out ..hopefully I am wrong.

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives

Negatives: kerrigan trying to pick up fumble on their ten when we had early momentum. Huge turning point. Huge.
Penalties - i think everyone on our offense had an offsides. At home? Wow.
The first td pass to Brown sailed right through Breelands hands. Gotta make that play.
Our inability to go vertical. Wtf happened to our passing game last night?
Run D.
Defensive in game adjustments.
Cousins - awful game. Hope that is a result of not playing much at all in the preseason. His timing was way off.

Positives: we dont face Ben n Brown again - they are lethal.
We will still win the East.
It is early. We will get rolling.
No injuries that I am aware off.

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives

I'll only focus on the positives:

Hopkins
PSmith
DJax
A Doctson sighting

By the way, the Steelers under rated OL are a bunch of beasts. Villanueva 6'9", Foster (must weigh 400lb) DeCastro, Pouncey. Kicked our Dlines ass!! We could not stop their slot receiver (Rogers).

Art Monk- Art was like an OL playing WR, doing the dirty work and not getting the glory.

Darrell Green- Best DB ever.

Why is it I sense that this won't be the last time I read that here this season?

How dare you focus on the positives when the sky is falling. This 2 win or less team (someone actually said that last night) does not deserve a positive post!
Its over! Burn it down! Run for the hills! Fire everything! Ahhhhhh!

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives

I think it had alot to do with big Ben. Any other qb is on his ass a couple more times last night. What about that long throw he made under serious pressure to keep one of their scoring drives alive. Yes their oline played well but Big Ben is like a 6th lineman playing quarterback. I wouldn't rush to judgement about our dline quite yet.
