Plenty of praise to go around, but I noticed CP was really working hard... diving to make the extra couple of yards and making good blocks. I'm giving it to him!

Re: Skins vs. Giants game balls

Whole team deserves it in my opinion. And I especially love how my main man Andre Carter has been playing for the past season and a quarter.

However, I'm going to go against the grain a bit and give a game ball to Anthony Montgomery. Recovered a fumble, constantly shed blockers to make tackles, and anchored that interior (half the game without Cornelius by his side) to allow guys like Carter and Khary Campbell to make the highlight plays.

We're going to need one helluva game by him next week v. the Vikings.

Re: Skins vs. Giants game balls

Without question the O-Line gets my game ball. These guys handled their front 4 and then some. I also want to give a shout-out to Lorenzo Alexander...he was making plays all over the place, defense, offense, and special teams...dude is a beast!

And a coaches ball to Al Saunders for calling the draw play like 4 times in a row. I was laughing my ass off.

How about one for Amani "Rod" Toomer. Wow, that might have been one of the worst drops ever.

Smoot was my second choice, he played a GREAT game on D, but without Portis' game, we'd have no points. He also saved Collins' life with some big-time blocks several times.
That's why I voted Portis. The o-line cleared the way for him rushing, but he was instrumental in protecting TC. Also, the o-line had some blown blocks.

Did anyone hear Madden say that Portis prefers to block when he's supposed to be the check-down? I think it's a perfect example of the type of player Portis is: gritty. He's willing to do the dirty stuff, even if it means giving up the plays that would give him glory. He's not standing there waiting for the ball -- he's looking to knock somebody in the face.

Portis definitely deserves the game ball.

The Giants knew the run was coming because of the wind, Clinton still took the day.

Plus he broke Shockey's leg.

Re: Skins vs. Giants game balls

This was a complete team victory. An honorable mention goes out to the defense. The offense made enough plays to win but it was the defense that sealed the victory. My game ball goes to the entire offensive line. The big boys open the way for Portis and Betts and did an outstanding job keeping the G-Women off Collins back. The G-Women were running all kind of stunts and blitzes to get to Collins and for the most part were ineffective against the offensive line.

A game ball for Snyder as well for stepping up (as he always does) to take care of a player in need, giving Collins use of his private plane and having a car waiting for him so that he could fly to Boston for the birth of his child on Saturday and be back by game time.
