Could you imagine the legend he would become if he got the win? Would his legendary status surpass...Colt Brennen?

Immediately.

From couch to playoff winner in 5 weeks? He could do no wrong after that.

Of course all this is moot if the defense doesn't show up tonight. We need strong interior pressure and our edge guys need to stay in their lane and not let Brady get outside of them. Combine strong pressure from the front 4 with the back 7 playing tight coverage and pressing guys at the line and we might just have a shot.

I hope we have a fair referee staff and not the same old hacks.

No doubt, main reason why we need a fair squad, because he’s going to bitch and whine.

Let's hope the D gives him a reason to bitch and whine. Nothing I'd like to see more than him crying and whining, slamming his helmet on the bench, yelling at his team...

Re: WFT Wild Card Pre-Game Thread

Hopefully Brady will be distracted.

Someone has started a petition on change.org complaining that a company that he owns got a small business stimulus check and it should be given back. (It had over 33k signatures when I checked.)

I had a hunch and checked it out. Sure enough, the guy who started the petition is from just outside of Boston! What a bunch of "ungratefuls", which is what I found when I lived up there from the mid '70s to the late '80s.

Per Keim:

Sources say Smith will be inactive. David vs Goliath.

Alex inactive Heinicke starts.

An injured Alex wouldn't have given us enough against the Bucs. Let's hope this quarter we saw from him was no fluke!!!

Re: WFT Wild Card Pre-Game Thread

My feeling is the team knew this several days ago but kept the Bucs guessing

Wow inactive is crazy. I figured he would be intermittent. So we have to untested qbs and a tight end. Hope Scott Turner is bringing his A+ game

Hope everybody is bringing their A game, we're gonna need it against Brady in the playoffs.

I'm a tad surprised Smith is inactive. But if he's not far removed from the way he looked throughout most of last week's game then him being inactive may have been the right call.

Smith could barely move and step into his throws last week. It was clearly evident in the second half. It was tough watching him in the second half.

It would be coaching malpractice to play him tonight if he's in the same or similar condition as he was last week.

I expect a heavy dose of running and play action. The Bucs will have to respect the read option as well.
