And most of us probably thought we’d lose to the Chargers and the Bills. I know I did.

3) On at least one of the "dropped" ints, McLaurin did the job of a receiver and broke up the int when he couldn't pull it in.

Finally, we had 0 turnovers, no fumbles, no ints. That's the stat that counts, not the almost's or shoulda coulda's
You're right it's not like dropped INTs are a complete fluke or should be considered certainty to go the other way.

I was mentioning it mainly for those saying we were somehow robbed by the Zebras, like we got many breaks too, and also to be aware that Heinicke is playing in an exciting to watch but dangerous way, and in some games those INTs won't get dropped.

We got away a bizarre win, I'll take it as a W, we probably won't get any other type of Ws this season anyway.

I really hope Logan is OK. He is a huge part of our offense. Gonna be tough to go without him if he misses a significant amount of time.

McTyer supposedly was carted out at the end of the game.

The cart is coming out for McTyer.

Nice road win vs NFC team.

Was it my imagination, or did it sound like there were a ton of Washington fans there?

I didn't see much of the game, watching on Redzone, but was it just me that got the impression the D walked off the field after that play and all but ignored him lying in pain in the EZ? Was it just the way the broadcast focussed on the guys coming off or did guys go back out to check on him?

If they didn't I'm beginning to think there's a culture problem on D (what with the lack of hussle already highlighted).

Maybe just in part due to being lost in the moment, don't think they have that kind of culture problem, think you are looking for culture issues where ther are none. There are issues, everyone is baught in apparently and yet the results remain bad, not a case of them not giving a crap about each other though IMO.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember last year that after Collins went out with his injury is really when our defense started putting the pieces together. I'm sure that's the correlation, and not the causation....but I distinctly remember the units gelling more after he wasn't back there anymore.
The lbs needed help in the off-season, but wasn't addressed. We all knew that. Dl was the strong point, and our secondary got the job done down the stretch last year. On paper we had 1 weak unit.
They have seemed to regress exponentially. It's a real head scratcher.
Offense is producing way better this year. Makes sense with the upgrades, and having a qb that is at least average by nfl standards. Our qb carousel is a joke, but even more so the last 3 years.
This team is really hard to have any kind of expectation for. I thought we would come into the year as 9-8/8-9 +/-. Now I'm afraid we are 3-12 4-13 +/-.

Re: Falcons postgame

I've been critical of Heinicke but his leading that game winning drive was great. Unfortunately the D is still bad and had ATL had 20 more seconds Heinicke's efforts would have been for not.

On a side note, I listened to the broadcast on the radio for the first time in maybe 2 years, it was a tough listen. Julie Donaldson is terrible and MeAngelo Hall isn't much better. This is a far cry from the days of Sonny, Sam, and Frank.
