Plus we already drafted two tall receivers last year.

Re: So, let's discuss Anthony Aldridge, our newest signed player
Here's another guy who might be available in the 4th round who's a little bigger with 4.3 speed. He caught 60 passes last year in an offense that does'nt pass much and is good on teams. Jason Chery....Jason Chery, WR, UL-Lafayette

Re: So, let's discuss Anthony Aldridge, our newest signed player
If we can get our O-Line in order then Aldridge could very well end up looking like Derrick Blayock did for the Cheifs a few years ago. Of course we might be a year or two away from getting our line sorted out.

Thats a scary thought. I've haven't seen Rock make any headway in the rushing department during the last 3 preseasons and Mason was clearly the better the runner last year.

I wouldn't have a problem here. With the Betts trade part anyway.

Re: So, let's discuss Anthony Aldridge, our newest signed player
I think there are a number of FA players that are at the same level as Betts, who are becoming free agents. Unless some team is dumb enough to trade with us, I just don't see that happening.

Re: So, let's discuss Anthony Aldridge, our newest signed player
I have a problem seeing Rock as a number 2 honestly. He doesn't have the push or the elusiveness. I know that we all love Rock, just I have a really hard time seeing him as a number 2, especially when number 2s are just as important or more than they've ever been. Imagine if Portis gets hurt.. Rock the starting back? I'd personally rather bring Shawn Alexander back in that case.

Re: So, let's discuss Anthony Aldridge, our newest signed player
That's great news if true. Maybe this guy can do it. I like the looks of that KR video...completely opposite of ARE, he moves north-south VERY quickly instead of east-west-east-backwards-east again-west-down.

Re: So, let's discuss Anthony Aldridge, our newest signed player
So what's wrong with moving Betts for a pick, making Rock #2 and being able to have Mason on the roster to play his way up the depth chart if you think he's so good? Mason just needs to get ON the roster first. Aldridge could be a kick/punt returner...or both.
