Re: MLB thread
John Means with a no no. The birds go 4-2 against Oakland and Seattle on west coast. Means with two great starts. Not a bad week at the office.

Re: MLB thread
Congrats to the O's, still hold a soft spot for them despite their general disdain towards us for abandoning them when the Nats arrived in town. I still want them to do well though. Peter Angelos can go fuck himself though.

Re: MLB thread
Peter Angelos is not well loved but his sons seem pretty good so far. They come on radio shows and do a lot of Q and A. I have no hate for Nats rooted for them in the WS and love the city of DC. I am a bit bitter about MLB reneging on the MASN contract they signed when moving the team to DC but businesses do that all the time and I get it. Having a successful franchise in DC is a national brand issue.

Re: MLB thread
Punch that series against the Astros is probably the only time I will root for the Yankees.

Sorry brother not sure what you’re talking about. I was referring to what you thought was funny commercials and what was good beer. This being out of the debating with the enemy forum and all.

Re: MLB thread
So had a cool experience today. My kids baseball and softball games canceled due to rain this morning so when weather cleared up I took them to the high school and did some hitting drills on the turf. There were other people walking, doing drills etc. We were headed back to the car when this older gentleman tells me he is so happy to see younger players being taught proper swing mechanics. He then tells us he had been a hitting coach in the majors for 30 years. I look at him and realize it was Terry Crowley. He took my kids gave them some swing pointers, told me how to continue to work their follow through.
Then he talked a little bit about working mechanics with Nick Markakis and Adam Jones too of my favorite players in recent memory. What a fun and lucky experience. As Bruce would say #winningoffthefield |

Re: MLB thread
That is very cool. Just meeting him is a big deal but him taking the time with your sons is a memory they'll never forget.
Similar fun story, my son took some hitting lessons with a former MLB draft pick and local Independent League star Jason Aspito. He was good, had 24 HRs and 105 RBIs one year. Helped my son's hitting tremendously.
